CBT training in Manchester starts from £150, but will depend on the location you choose due to varying training ground rental and equipment costs for the trainers. You can be certain you’re getting a good deal with us, as we offer a best price guarantee - if you find the same course cheaper somewhere else, we'll match it.
All of our Manchester CBT locations provide bike hire, with a choice of Automatic Scooters or Manual 125cc Motorcycles. We also list the facilities for each location and whether motorcycle helmet, jacket and glove hire is included or not.
CBT training is often referred to as a CBT test. However, there is technically no ‘test’ involved. CBT stands for Compulsory Basic Training and takes between 6-8 hours on one day, ensuring you can ride safely on your own.
To take a CBT test in Manchester, you’ll need a valid UK provisional licence or UK full driving licence.
Whether you aim to ride a moped or motorcycle you will need to take a CBT course to get a bike licence.
The day itself will consist of 5 parts, 4 of these will be off-road. The final part of the day will be road riding where your instructor will monitor you riding safely.
The five parts of CBT training consist of the following parts, in sequence:
You move onto the next section when your trainer is happy you’ve learnt the theory and shown the practical skills to a safe level.
If your instructor believes that you are not at a satisfactory standard for any of the 5 elements then you won’t be able to continue your training, and you’ll need to book further training on another day.
Booking CBT training in Manchester couldn’t be easier. We offer a variety of motorcycle training locations to choose from, so simply choose a time and place that suits you. Once you book, we'll confirm your spot and get you ready to ride. Take your time to decide between a moped, scooter or motorcycle (50cc vs 125) and make sure that you remember to get insurance.
If you’re nervous about going straight to CBT training, you have the option to take an Introductory To Motorcycling Course instead, a 2-3 hour taster session that goes over how a motorcycle works and some of the controls.
No matter how you choose to get on the Manchester roads, RideTo will help you progress each step of the way.
