How do I choose a CBT test centre near Lancaster?
Our RideTo website makes finding the perfect CBT test centre simple! Firstly go ahead and use our handy CBT test search tool to find a list of available schools in your area. The three nearest CBT test centres for Lancaster are based in Morecambe, Preston and Blackburn.
From there, you need to decide if you need motorcycle gear hire included in your price. All of the three sites offer helmet rental within their price, however Preston requires you to bring your own gloves and jacket.
The next step we recommend would be to have a read about each individual CBT test centre and see if they will suit your learning style. You may have a preference for the motorbike you’d like to rent. Preston have an extensive fleet of Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha to help you experience different style bikes and brands. If you need some guidance on the ideal 125cc motorcycle, make sure to check our article on the top 10 motorcycles for 50-125cc riders.
What can I expect during my CBT test in Lancaster?
You will begin your day with an introduction and a basic eyesight test, reading licence plates or road signs. Once it’s confirmed you can read at a distance, you will move into the indoor classroom to go over the basics of being on the road. This is followed by onsite riding to go over basic controls. Once you’ve gone round successfully in circles, practising junctions and starting/stopping, it’s time to take your new skills to the road! You will get a minimum of 2 hours road riding, monitored by your instructor.
If you are extra keen to find out the specifics of the day to a finer detail, we have the perfect guide to what to expect on your CBT test.
