What is A CBT Test?
A CBT or Compulsory Basic Training is the very first step you must take if you’re pursuing a life on two wheels. It takes place over the course of a day, usually lasting around 6-8 hours, you will be taken through all the steps to get you safely riding on the road. You will have to demonstrate a good understanding of everything you have learnt throughout the day before the instructor can send you on your way with a CBT certificate.
Read more about exactly what to expect on the day on our blog, CBT Test: The 5 Parts of a CBT.
What If I need A Second Day of Training?
Sometimes the instructors may feel you need to come back for a second day of training before allowing you out on the road. If this is the case then you will need to book another day. However if you purchase our Peace of Mind Policy then the cost of that second day of training will be covered by us, saving you over £100.
It should be noted that the policy does not cover a lack of knowledge of the highway code, turning up in the wrong gear or arriving late. Full t’s and c’s can be found here.

Over the last few years, a lot of the main motorcycle manufacturers have turned their eyes to the smaller capacity market. Which is fantastic if you’ve recently passed your CBT test as there are plenty of types and styles of motorcycle for you.
