Do I Need Any Experience To Take A CBT Test In Winchester?
The CBT is designed for complete beginners, to give you all the skills you need to safely get out on the road. So no, you don't need any previous experience riding to take a CBT Test. We do ask that you’re able to ride an adult-sized bicycle. This just shows you have the basic balance and coordination required to pick up motorcycling.
If you’re a little worried about just diving into the CBT then we also offer an Introduction to Motorcycling course. This is a two hour 1-2-1 course designed to help you with your specific needs or perhaps an area of the training you’re worried or struggling with.
Can I Fail A CBT Test?
Technically the answer is no as CBT actually stands for Compulsory Basic Training and there is no test involved at all. That being said you need to be able to demonstrate to the instructor that you have learnt what you have been taught before you can safely proceed out onto the roads. If you are unable to demonstrate this or the instructor feels like you're unsafe on the road and require further training you will be asked to come back another day.
If this is the case then you will be required to pay for another day of training unless you have the Peace of Mind Policy.
What Is The Peace Of Mind Policy?
The Peace Of Mind Policy is an option to add on to your initial booking and is perfect for those who may be feeling a little nervous about their CBT test. If you have purchased the policy before you training and you require to come back for further training, we will cover the cost of the following day which could save you over £130!
You’ve got to do your bit as well so unfortunately we cannot cover turning up late or wearing the wrong gear or a lack of knowledge of the highway code.
