What Do I Need to Prepare for a CBT Test?
The main thing to prepare before you turn up to your CBT test is to make sure you have great knowledge of the UK Highway Code. This is not something you will be taught during your training day so it is vital you know this beforehand so you are safe when out on the road during your CBT test.
Your instructor will ask you certain questions throughout the day to make sure you know the rules.
Apart from that you don’t need any previous experience of riding or being around motorbikes, just turn up early, with the correct clothing and with your driving licence (whether that’s a full UK licence, provisional licence or EU licence with a UK counterpart licence number).
Your CBT test can be an enjoyable day where you will learn everything you need to know about riding a scooter or motorbike so try to relax and have a good time!
You may want to take advantage of the RideTo Peace of Mind Policy to take the pressure off your training day. For just £29.99 RideTo will cover your second day of training, should your instructor feel you need more time to learn to maneuver or ride a motorbike on the roads.
This can save you upto £130 as you would otherwise need to book another CBT test day. To learn more read our full Peace of Mind Policy guide.
