I did my CBT here about 3 weeks ago, the lads here are AMAZING. I still remember you guys and your initials together ‘DBD’! The three of you were absolutely incredible at teaching, I was the only one there with zero experience on a motorbike and you guys taught me gears in the most calm and patient manner. I went from not knowing how to start the bike to being on the road changing gears! Despite the fact that I was stressed and doubting my ability, you guys helped me get it together and believe in myself. Honestly no words for how amazing you three were, what a memorable day!! I've used SL Motorcycle Training for my last 2 CBTs, couldn't be happier with the service i recieved, great clear and precise instructors both times. I've seen a lot of people giving unjust 1 star reviews because they themselves failed to read and understand the terms of protective equipment and/or showing up on time, they state clearly the costs won't be refunded so its your job to make sure you're ready for the day, it's not hard people 🤦‍♂️ Definitely recommend, will be contacting soon to book a DAS so i can move up to a bigger bike and leave the CBT charges behind 😅 SL Motorcycle Training, once again thanks for having great instructors on board 🙏 Speak soon.

I booked my CBT 2 days before the test/ assessment and there was no problem. When I arrived the instructor was a lovely guy his name started with a D but forgot his name. Although he was strict (as an instructor should most definitely be), he was a great guy and a very good instructor. I had never been on the road before and after all the training and the 2nd ride I was so comfortable with the roads thanks to him. If I ever get further training I will definitely return to SL motorcycles based on my experience and want to thank my instructor for helping me pass.

Today, I completed my first CBT training. No riding experience at all. Very challenging but at the same time a fun day! Fantastic and patient instructor with a high level of professionalism. Great place for CBT and amazing instructors! We went through everything from talking about safety gear and Highway Code, to practical tests on a nice Honda. We were supposed to be 3 people but the other guys did not have proper equipment so I ended up having kind of a private lesson. As a first time rider I left the place feeling confident that I will be safe on the road. Hoping to go back soon for full licence. Thank you!💪🏻 PS: If you don’t read the rules and don’t have proper equipment don’t bother going there and don’t be frustrated and leave 1 star reviews. They are doing a great job.

Done my CBT training today with SL motorcycles , really good company and friendly staff. they look after you and won’t take you on the road unless they believe you have the ability to look after yourself and others. They will make sure you feel confident with the motorcycle before moving on to the next exercise. Highly recommend. Definitely will come back to do a full license.

Dan was my trainer really nice gentlemen all staff I met are polite, kind and friendly and you can easily get on with them. They make sure you nail something before you move onto the next exercise. After waiting approx 40 years for my bike licence I finally got it yesterday in the beautiful sunshine,. CBT, Mod1 & Mod2 passed at SL. absolutely GREAT riding school. From the staff on the phones to the instructors training you. I successfully passed my CBT last year with ease thanks to the fantastic work from the team at SL. Then 12 months later within the space of just over a week, I succeeded in completing and passing my MOD 1 and MOD 2. They’re so knowledgeable, patient, helpful and Friendly. Just completed my CBT with Ian and I can say he has the patience of a saint. Good clear instruction throughout. Can't fault the teaching at all. Be aware that there's no real places to grab lunch nearby and you can't rely on the coffee van to show up, so best bring a packed lunch. Hot drinks are provided and some basic gear too. Definitely recommended. Many thanks.

Sarah (Owner) contacted me after hearing about my horrible CBT story from a female riding group. She offered me a CBT at her school. She was a absolute dream! So welcoming and you can tell she really cares and breathes bikes! Not only that she is super aware that when you are leaving this training you walk away with a understanding of what gear to look for, is it certified to the EU standards. All these things are so important as a biker this is your protection on the bike and this was addressed thoroughly! My instructor Ian, you are an absolute legend! I cannot thank you enough for your patience and calm presence that really helped me on the day. I couldn't have done this without you! He knew I was struggling at the start, I think my confidence was lacking because of my previous training that gone wrong. He was so persistent and was really rooting for me! The compassion he had is something you cannot teach someone. He is wonderful and I am thankful you taught me :) It is a lot to take in 7 hours but they were aware that I was the one student that was starting from scratch and they really catered around my skills and made sure I left feeling capable to ride. Honestly choose SL Motorcycle training for your CBT. They are very thorough about gear, bike and theory knowledge as well as the riding part. It is just as important to be safe on the roads and protected. THANK YOU SO MUCH

I came here to do my CBT yesterday and Dan was fantastic. He thoroughly taught us how to operate the bike, what checks needs to be done before riding and gave me the confidence to ride. The other instructor (Ian I believe - fancy black bike) was also great and taught me a few things to look out for on the road as well. Both instructors were fun to learn from and incredibly passionate about bikes. Absolute gentlemen with a lot of patience for learners. I made some mistakes at the beginning. Not only did they correct me but their calm demeanor gave me the confidence I needed to ride. I am extremely happy to have passed my CBT through their tutelage and plan to come back to do my full motorbike license. Can highly recommend SL Motorcycle training, professional and fun. Fantastic to speak to over the phone with any questions and also communication via E-mails with details arranged. Was welcomed by Sarah who was friendly, talkative and made me feel at ease going back onto a bigger bike. We went out for my MOD 2 practice run and I returned with confidence, more relaxed, knowing I am ready for the test the following morning. Her ability to teach and instill confidence to achieve your goal at her training school is amazing. Bobby I have not been on a motorbike for 20years I phoned SL motorcycles and spoke with Sarah and I was panicking quite a lot But Sarah put the panicking away by advising Me professionally that it would be all ok and remending me that I need do a back to biking course Which I did on Sunday still a bit panicky but Sarah put all that right on the day.
