Where Is the Nearest CBT School in Northwich?

Nestled in the middle of Manchester, Stoke-on-Trent and Liverpool, Northwich has lots of CBT test locations in all directions which provide motorbike training for those living in the North West of the UK.

Our RideTo partner schools based around Manchester might be the best option for those living in Northwich.

These include schools such as Scotti Knights Motorcycle Training in Sale, Zen Motorcycle Training in Stockport, MSM whose training ground is at Curzon Ashton FC in Ashton-Under-Lyne or Moto Technique situated only an 8-minute walk from Manchester Victoria Train Station.

How Much Will a CBT in Northwich Cost Me?

The price of a CBT test varies depending on what training school you choose to go to. The course price reflects the location of their training grounds, the facilities accessible or/ and what gear they provide for you to use during the training course.

In and around Manchester the price of a CBT will be somewhere between £139 and £170.

What Actually Is a CBT Test?

Unclear as to whether a CBT is the right course for you? Anyone looking to learn to ride either a moped, scooter or motorbike in the UK must complete a CBT test.

This is unless you passed your driving test before February 1st 2001. If this is you, you can ride a 50cc moped without the need to complete a CBT and ride without displaying an L plate and carry a passenger on the back.

For everyone else a CBT is the ‘Compulsory Basic Training’ required to be legally allowed to ride a motorbike on the roads. It is a day of training that means as long as you are 17 or older, you can ride upto a 125cc motorbike once you have completed the training. 16 year olds can ride a 50cc moped with a maximum speed of 28mph.

There are a few other restrictions to comply with if you only ever intend to complete a CBT test. You cannot ride on motorways, or take passengers on the back of your bike. You also must display an L plate on your bike at all times.

Anyone looking to ride a motorbike with a more powerful engine or without the above restrictions will need to do an additional training course called a full licence course after a CBT.
