Passing Your CBT in Everton
Being a district in Liverpool, Everton has some excellent choices of places to complete a CBT test. Surrounded by 3 big cities you can find motorcycle training in every direction!
The closest CBT test site to Everton is in West Kirby approximately 10 miles from Everton. The RideTo partner school based here is run by Wallsey Motorcycle Training.
Wallsey require you to bring your own helmet, gloves and jacket to your training day but they do provide a scooter or motorbike for you to learn on.
Other options slightly further afield include Riverview Motorcycle Rider Training in Preston and Scotti Knights Motorcycle Training location in Sale, towards Manchester.
Different training locations offer slightly different packages so make sure you check out the facilities available onsite and what gear is included as well as looking at distance and price.
Is a CBT a Test?
A CBT is a motorcycle training course rather than an actual test. While there is no guarantee that you will succeed in getting your CBT certificate at the end of your training day, most people do complete the course after just one day.
Reasons you may not ‘pass’ would be that you haven’t mastered how to control a bike confidently and safely enough over the course of the day or if you show that you don’t have adequate knowledge of The Highway Code by riding dangerously when out on the road ride during the last element of the day.
There is also a chance that your training will be terminated at the start of the day if you don’t understand or speak English to a high enough level, if you forget your licence, don’t bring the correct gear or turn up late.
In any of the situations above you will need to book and pay for another day of training .
Many of the reasons stated above are mentioned in the terms and conditions when booking, so it’s in your best interest to read these and make sure you follow the rules and bring / do everything required.
Here at RideTo we understand that if you don’t complete the training day due to nerves or have struggled with learning balance, clutch control and/or steering, it can be frustrating - especially if you have tried your hardest.
This is why we invented the RideTo Peace of Mind policy.
What is the Peace of Mind Policy?
When placing your CBT booking, or at any point before your training takes place, you can pay an additional fee of £29.99 for the Peace of Mind policy cover.
Then, should you not pass on your first day of training due to riding issues, we will pay for your second day of training!
If you book your CBT test in and around Everton this could save you between £120 -£140! Which gives you peace of mind and takes the pressure off passing on your first day.
You can find out more including what the Policy doesn’t cover over on our Peace of Mind page.
