Nervous about taking your CBT test in Leicester? Had a long break from motorcycling and feel you’ve forgotten the ropes? The team at KJ’s School of Motoring proudly offers training for students with specific individual needs.
Teaching you at your own pace, KJ’s school of Motoring aims to take the stress out of your CBT training in Leicester. If you feel the pressure of having other riders around you, the team will happily organise a one to one tuition session, taking away the crowd factor and making sure you have your instructors undivided attention for the entirety of your motorcycle training.
This school offers a fully serviced and highly maintained fleet of motorcycles ranging from 50cc to 650cc, meaning they have a motorcycle to cater to every requirement. KJ’s will take care of your motorcycle protective gear for you and provide your motorcycle jacket, ECE approved helmet, hi vis and a pair of gloves.
Based at Aylestone Park football club you have access to regular public transport, with a bus stop located right outside the training centre. For those arriving by car, there is plenty of onsite parking available. There is a Co-op supermarket a short 500m from the training ground should you want to purchase lunch on the day. Alternatively, if you fancy treating yourself, we hear Caprinos pizza has some rave reviews!

I had never ridden a motorcycle before my lessons and everything was new to me. Kev's approach and teaching techniques made my riding better every day. He is very friendly and professional. He will give you praise but he will also give you proper talk when you are not up to his standards. Yup, I had one of them too, and it worked. I passed my CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2 on my first attempt. If you want to learn how to ride a motorcycle, KJ's School of Motoring is a place to go.

I highly recommend kj’s school of motoring for anyone looking to do their bike training. Kev is a very professional instructor, he is friendly, firm & makes you feel at ease. I look back and say to myself I made an excellent choice for getting my Motorcycle training under the Direct Access route from KJ’s School of motoring.
Kevin was there to guide me from the time I called him up and told him - “I need a full Motorcycle Licence”. There was no looking back.
Nathan helped in getting all my basics right during the CBT. Kevin ensured we practised for Mod1 until I was getting it right 10/10 times. Mod 2 training by Kevin was simply amazing to grind away all my rough edges. Passed both my tests on 1st attempt.
Both Kevin and Nathan were absolutely professional, with attention to details and being extremely picky on the smallest of my mistakes, faults and bad habits that I developed over years. This helped me identify them early on and work on them to be able to perform flawlessly (0 faults on mod 1 and 2 minor faults on Mod 2).
I cannot recommend them enough.

A huge thanks to Kev who got me through the DAS scheme this week. I passed both mod 1 & 2 today on my first attempt. Kev has a great deal of patience, experience and knowledge and knows how to give support and constructive criticism when required. Definitely 5 stars!!

I have just finished my training with Kev for my A licence. I am pleased to say I passed my mod 1 and mod 2 first time and all I can put it down to was the fantastic training I had from Kev. Nothing is to much trouble and he is a very patient man lol but he will tell you if doing things wrong. Had a fantastic experience with kj’s and would highly recommend them for doing your bike training. Thank you Kev I had great fun and banter and yes my figure of 8 might have been a bit big lol.

My brother and myself passed the MOD1 & MOD2 first time via DAS course with Kevin. An incredibly patient and knowledgeable rider and instructor, the likes of which you will struggle to find elsewhere.
There was plenty of laughs and banter, but he certainly isn't afraid to give you a grilling if you're making stupid mistakes.
Couldn't possibly sing his praises any higher. 5 stars isn't enough!

Did my CBT with Nathan and full DAS with Kevin and the entire experience was fantastic! Both guys were very knowledgable and made the whole experience an absolute pleasure. I had my CBT Course today and it was the worse experience which I have ever had. The instructor was not professional and narrow minded. I was taught nothing and was only passed due to me having two years of experience of riding a bike.

I was looking to get my test done as soon as possible after lockdown and knew it would be a challenge, I rang round most bike schools in the area but none of them really knew what was going on and wouldn't do anything as they couldn't get tests for a month or two. Kev was the only one to help and got me in straight away for some training with the hope of getting cancellations to get me through, he really went above and beyond and ended up doing my Mod 2 in Kettering just so we could get an earlier cancellation.
As I was upgrading from my A2 license I didn't need much training and after one refresher morning we were good to go. The training was excellent and I've really enjoyed doing it. Definitely recommend Kev for people of all skill levels! The other schools still haven't got back to me about potential dates and training, not that it matters now I've passed!

Both Kevin and Nathan are extremely good at what they do. If you want to get your full motorbike licence, just ask these guys! I approached them with no motorbike experience. Kevin was so patient with me and taught me everything I needed to know to be safe on the road. He answered all my questions and supported me throughout the training. He does not give up on his students!
Nathan is the same, if he hadn’t pushed me I would not have gone for the full licence. He taught me how to ride a motorbike in one day! Thank you KJ School of Motoring for my full motorbike license.

A experienced bike instructor with good advice when needed and bikes that are a pleasure and easy to learn on. Could not be happier booked the direct access course around a month ago and passed every section first time around thanks to good advices do instructions , and I really enjoyed the experience to top it all off... thanks again Kev and all the best for the future 🛵🏍

If you want to get your bike licence, train with Kev at KJ’s - simple.
I went from literally no experience (but with a long held desire & a burning mid-life crisis) to fully qualified in a couple of weeks. Passed Mod1 & 2 first time and taking delivery of my first bike this week.
It was all down to Kev (& Nathan on CBT training). They are hugely passionate about their roles, endlessly patient, firm when needed (& it was!) but all done with great humour in a relaxed, fun & enjoyable environment.
The bikes, kit & training ground were perfect and the training itself prepares you well above the standards needed. I can’t comment on the other local schools but I honestly don’t know how this experience could have been better & I’d strongly recommend them to anyone.

I went from no previous riding experience to getting my full license in only four days of training...
Kev is an excellent instructor. He teaches you to a level that far exceeds what is required to pass the test because he wants you to be as safe as possible on the road.
The bikes are perfect for beginner riders. The engine is really smooth and the bike handles really well (which is great for the mod 1 exercises).
The training site is in the perfect location, right next to the test centre, so you get to spend more time getting familiar with the local area and test routes.
And on top of all that KJs is the lowest cost "Full Works" training in Leicester.
I will be back in a few months to do the enhanced rider scheme :)

I have been so grateful through the whole process Kevin is an amazing instructor and has plenty of patience to go around. He lets you know where your faults are and is keen to work on them to get you through the tests.

You Will Pass, Read More...
Kev and Nathan teach you in small classes, giving you more time one on one and training you with quality. They see what you know and help you become the best rider. Youre not in a group of 10, usually one or two people, which allows them to spend more time showing you and teaching you the best road manner. You will pass because the teaching styles are amazing. Kev certainly knows what he is doing. I completed my CBT with no issues, Mod 1 with 1 rider error and Mod 2 with a rare clean sheet. I have to give credit to KJ for this. I would not bother looking elsewhere, ring and ask your questions and book it.

Would 100% recommend for motorbike training. Excellent training from Kev. Teaches you every needed to pass both modules and more.... The bike to train on are very good bikes, comfy and good to handle for mod 1.. Will be looking to book enhanced riding scheme with KJ's, some point in the future as very please with them!!!

I have spent the past couple of weeks being taught how to ride a motorcycle by, first Nathan on the CBT and later Kevin on the Direct Access Category A licence. Both instructors were beyond my expectations in both knowledge and delivery. Nathan took me from not having ridden a motorcycle for more than 30 years to being confident on the road with a 125cc bike. He was patient and allowed me to move at my own pace. I then moved on to conduct some extremely detailed and well delivered training on the bigger 650cc Gladius. Although I was pretty nervous at first Kevin was able to help me overcome this and made me a very confident rider in some awful weather conditions. His manner is patient, diligent and thoughtful. He explains in detail what he wants to teach you, demonstrates it then allows you plenty of time to practice. When I went for my tests I couldn’t have been better prepared. I have now passed and am looking forward to riding alone. I fully intend asking Kevin to take me on some more advanced training when I have purchased my own bike. I would definitely recommend KJ’s School for motorcycle training. Fully deserve their 5 stars

Kev is a very professional and informative instructor, having not riden a bike since my early teens, kev made it very easy and importantly fun to learn.
I passed my mod 1&2 direct access class a first time I would highly recommend anyone to use KJ’s school of motoring.

Kevin is an exceptional instructor, I had never ridden a motorbike before going to KJ's and he helped me pass my A2 licence 2 years ago on my first attempt and also pass the full A licence this week on first attempt. He will train you well above the level required to pass the test. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get on a motorbike. Just have a look at KJ's pass rates and its the best out there!
