I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the outstanding training and support you provided in preparing me for my MOD1 and MOD2 motorcycle licence tests. Thanks to your expertise and guidance, I was able to pass both tests with ease and, remarkably, MOD2 with no faults. The professionalism and dedication of the instructors made a huge difference in my confidence and ability to perform under test conditions. Every session was thorough and well-structured, ensuring that I was fully prepared for each aspect of the test. I especially appreciate the personalized approach and the time you took to address my specific concerns. Your team's patience and encouragement were instrumental in helping me succeed. Thank you once again for everything. I will definitely recommend Probike Training in Chelmsford to anyone looking for high-quality, effective motorcycle training. Warm regards, Lukasz

Cannot fault these guys one bit. Went for my CBT training after deciding to finally learn how to ride (having never been on a powered bike of any kind before) and I can see why there are so many positive reviews. All the instructors are friendly, knowledgeable and patient (I really enjoyed the sessions with Mark and Alex, although everyone is just as good). They went through everything you’d expect and need to cover, and left plenty of room for a complete novice like me to ask questions and get direct support/feedback throughout the day. Their instructions were clear and easy to follow which made learning (what for me feels like a challenging new skill) a lot easier. Although I didn’t pass my road riding element and need to go back (this was absolutely a rider error situation in which I, unfortunately, had a fall), the entire team has been nothing short of brilliant with me. They emphasise rider-safety and having the right riding gear before the day starts to make sure if you do have a bad-day (as I did), personal injury is minimal as was the case for me. Learning a new skill is hard enough but when it’s one that could have life-altering consequences if things go wrong, I’d rather learn from a school which puts safety first. In my experience, Probike does exactly that.

I received CBT training at Probike on July 21st. I rode the motorcycle really safely. I rode a 125cc motorcycle on the road for about an hour and rode safely by following the rules. However, they did not knowingly approve my CBT training. Do not choose this company for CBT, they will take your money. But Even if you complete the training, they will not give you your CBT certificate because they want you to pay again and get training again.

Took my mod 2 today and passed. What can I say about probike training they have been superb and taught me the necessary skills to be able to pass my CBT, Module 1 and Module 2 with no major issues. They gave me all the detail and knowledge required to pass, were patient with me, but also drummed into me how important safety is. I cannot recommend them high enough, they are a great bunch of people, highly recommended 😀

I recently returned to do my direct access course with ProBike after completing a CBT with them around 4 years ago, maybe more, and once again, they exceeded my expectations. The staff at ProBike were friendly and professional. They delivered the training in a great way, and we had access to a large off-road pad to practice the skills needed for riding on the road. They provided excellent feedback, and with the knowledge of many amazing staff with years of experience themselves, they were able to customize tips, tricks, or feedback to suit how you learn. The whole process was seamless and hassle-free, and I would recommend anyone who is thinking about doing any of their bike tests to do it with ProBike. Thanks to the team for helping me get my full license.

Me and my son went to Probikes today to complete our CBT on manual 125 bikes, we had an amazing day! The trainers were fantastic! Very understanding of the different level of abilities that were in the course, funny, easy to understand and super helpful for those that needed a little extra support, the bikes were all in good condition, and additional information on progression was given at the end of the day, an all round wonderful experience! And brilliant value for money! Special thanks to Alex for making it such a lovely experience for us :)

Good guys teaching some essential skills. Chose Pro Bike for my CBT as they were local and was a little concerned about some of the reviews but fair play to them, they taught some solid essential skills. Colin and Nev were my instructors. Good guys. Good advice on road safety, slow riding, and awareness. Passed my CBT and credit to them, not everyone in my group passed as they weren't safe enough. Only did 4/5 stars because I only got a 40 min road ride even though it says you'll get 2 hours on their website.

Had a great experience during my training days leading up to my Mod 1 & 2 tests, gave fantastic advice and help with anything I had issues or worries about, in the end passed with no faults or minors during either of the modules, done 3 previous CBT's with them too when they had to be renewed. Some brilliant instructors all down to earth and easy to speak to.

100% recommend ProBike. I did my CBT & DAC with them and they made it super enjoyable, easy & fun. The instructors are all good lads and are great at explaining everything. They were always very approachable if I had any questions or concerns, and if I felt I needed extra practice on any of the manoeuvres they would accommodate rather than rushing through the day. They ensured that myself and others in the group were more than at the required standard to take the tests.

I booked on to complete the CBT course 17/6/23. Went with a friend. The staff were friendly from the get go and welcomed us in promptly. They went through elements A-E and explained what would happen next at each stage. I would like to send a very big shout out to Nevil. I did struggle a bit (I had no previous bike experience) especially at completing some of the manoeuvres. He pulled me to a side and gave me some pointers and let me practise at my own pace. This really helped. With regard to the on-road riding, I could not have felt more assured. We completed sections and then we stopped at regular intervals to explain what he saw and to correct anything to further improve our safety. He gave us hints and tips about how to spot obstacles and how to adjust our speed etc. Very thankful to the entire staff and hopefully be on the road with my own bike soon! Thank you Nevil and the team!

Me and my son had CBT at Probike. The first impression was not great, but overall experience was very nice. It all depends on the instructor. I wasn't lucky with the first instructor. His way of teaching didn't work for me. As a result I was stressed out, could not concentrate on the training and left in the middle of the day. However, this problem was sorted out by the owner of Probike. I was offered another day with another instructor (no extra charge) and he was brilliant! J Seabrook is a very professional instructor who created great atmosphere for the training, noticed all the mistakes immediately and helped to get rid of them within minutes. He was supportive, positive and kind, well organised and efficient. As it was my first experience riding a geared motorbike I was worried about my ability to ride in the town traffic. Mr Seabrook made this experience truly enjoyable as well as very useful for my future independent riding. Looking for my first motorbike now and planning to get full licence within a year. PS. On the picture another amazing instructor from Probike who kindly offered his amazzzzing Harley for a short photo shoot :)

Managed to do my cbt training today, excellent day out , great fun , passed like a champ 🏆 😆 🤣. The only down side was if you need to pay £10 waver damage for the bike and pay £10 for an earpiece. If you don't have one..make sure you bring all your essential bike wear on the day as they do not supply any....

I’m so happy with the experience I had at ProBike Training, I did my CBT all the way through to my final Mod2 test with them and it was seamless. All of the instructors were so lovely, helpful and knowledgeable. Each training day I had was invaluable, I learnt so much and managed to pass mod1 and mod2 first try because of them, couldn’t be more grateful or happy. Thank you team, you are all a bunch of legends. I would HIGHLY recommend this place for your CBT and training days leading up to your test!

From doing CBT straight to the 5 day course for DAS, I met many different instructors each with their unique charms, and all had a focus on making you a better rider. From words of encouragement when I’m panicking and telling me that I can do it and I just need to stay calm and telling me to take my time and do it right, to second by second feedback as you’re negotiating corners of a country road or going through a busy town centre, the level of training provided was excellent. All optional extra costs are included in the email when you book(earpiece/earbuds if you don’t have one for radio comms, damage waiver, and test cancellation waiver) so as long as you read the email you shouldn’t be surprised. The day courses for DAS generally run from 9:30-3:30 with 15mins up to an hour break, only noteworthy thing is that if you do the 3, 4 or 5 day course, the last 2 days of each will be your mod 1 and mod 2 tests, which no training is provided other than the ride from Chelmsford to the test centre in Basildon, so expect 1, 2, or 3 days of training with 2 tests days, rather than 3, 4 or 5 days of training incl. tests. Thanks for the training I needed to pass! Royce.

Excruciating experience, Probike claims to be the cheapest company around but what they don't tell you is that on the day you'll have a load more things to pay for (things like insurance waivers and having to buy your own ear piece!) came to an extra £80 on the day. Also their cheeky wording of courses makes you feel like you're getting a good deal, for example: their '3 day course' for around £630 (£710 once you've paid for insurance and ear piece) is actually just ONE DAY of training and the other 2 days you just do your tests and go home, yet they compare their price to other companies offering an actual 3 days of training, to get the 3 days training you're after you'll have to go for the '5 day course' - over a grand if i remember correctly. The bikes (particularly the 125cc bikes) were around 18 years old and quite literally held together with duct tape. I ended up cancelling my course due to the abysmal quality of service and, no shock at all, couldn't get a single penny refunded. These guys are just after your money and have no interest in passing you, in fact it seems to me that they'd rather you fail so you have to keep coming back and giving them money. Need evidence? just look around at other training companies and you'll see all of them post their proud pass rates... But not Probike! Something to hide it looks like. Passed my Mod1 and Mod2 first time with a different company not far from basildon (won't post the name as this review is from a customer not a competitor and i'd like it to stay up) I don't think I would've been so lucky if I had stayed with Probike. Please look elsewhere people.

Finished a 5 day course with these guys last week, had never riding a bike before doing my cbt a few weeks ago and ended up passing my mod 1 and mod 2 first time. The trainers are some of the most experienced riders you could meet and many come from a police background which involved some very advance riding skills. The skills I needed to pass were drilled into me by these guys over the course which meant that despite nerves, I was able to pass first time.

Thank you so much to Probike training, They took me through CBT, MOD1 and MOD 2 all passes on the 1st attempt. I would like to thank the two trainers Jason and Ian who are just absolutely amazing at their job. Ian with his funny sarcasm makes the 3 day training a joy. Jason IMO was born to teach, knowledge, encouraging and explained everything really well. If you take your training there ask to be taught by these two. Again thank you very much to the whole team at Probike. (I now ride a brand new Honda NC750x DCT) See you on the road.

I had to change lots of motorcycle schools during the pandemic, most of them got closed and I ended up going from London to Chelmsford, at ProBike. Having compared lots of instructors and schools, the instructors here are rocket scientists. They have taught me excellent skills and I will probably want to take a more advanced course with them. Passed both my MOD1 and MOD2 in the first go.

AMAZING TRAINER.DETAILED TRAINING, BUT HAD TO SHELL OUT £10 FOR A HEADPHONE WIRE ON CBT DAY, WHICH COSTS NOT MORE THEN £1.. SHOULD NOT EXTORT THIS AMOUNT OR ELSE IT WILL A PUT OFF FOR OTHERS IN FUTURE . I FEEL RIPPED.

Passed my CBT with Probike over the weekend. I had no experience on a geared bike before. All the instructors were nice and helpful when it came to show me the ropes. The training was about 12 people on either geared or automatic. Each instructor would spend more time on the students that need practice. A lot of people are going with the Direct Access (So am I). I'm looking forward to it. So far I'd say you can't beat their availability (I was able to book for the following week).

I did my CBT yesterday with this company at the age of 53 and it was amazing. The Instructors realised I hadn't been on two wheels since 1987 and coaxed me back to where I was in 1987 but with so much more knowledge than what I had then. I am a father now to three boys all grown up 34, 29 and 24 years old and would entrust the brilliant professional team at Probike Chelmsford to teach and test my children to ride safely! Thank you Rob and Mick for the start of my journey to becoming a professional Motorcycle Rider.

Great team of instructors. Encouraging, entertaining and informative. Would highly recommend you to go here. They will look after you, make sure you do things right and have fun doing it. Just be relaxed and you will have the best experience. If you're a first time rider, make sure you come prepared or prepared be sent home... (Gear: MB Helmet, MB Jacket, over ankle boots & MB gloves) Make sure you know the highway code 👍 Their bikes are great to use 😮🏍

Recently booked and completed a direct access course with ProBike, having completed my CBT with them 18 months ago and couldn't be happier with the service I've received. The staff were professional, helpful and very knowledgeable whilst maintaining a sense of humour, which helps you to relax. Thanks to their advice and training, I passed my Mod 1 and am currently waiting for my Mod 2. No complaints at all and would definitely recommend if you are serious about learning to ride a bike.

Called this disrespectful company this afternoon to book a test. My cheerfulness and positivity, was suddenly sucked away, by the rude, dismissive individual, that made an attempt at answering the phone! Being my first time and not having any knowledge of the process, I posed the logical question “of what should I wear? And is it included in the day” The life sponge on the end replied “Motorcycle gear, preferably “ Wow not only rude but a comedian too, fab. I wonder if I did pass with this chap, would he give me me a pat on the head, and a lollipop, and say “you did really well for a girl” Plus, 40 to rent bike, not stated in t&cs... sly , pay the extra, and get a proper service. Will be requesting refund from group on.

I must say when I read some of the bad reviews for Probike training I was very apprehensive in completing CBT course at the Chelmsford branch. Although the majority of the reviews were really good, you only focus on what has been said negatively. After now officially completing my CBT, I can honestly say it was a great experience. Particularly in working with Mike. He is a very knowledgeable instructor and has a resume to match. The timing of feedback and instructions given by Mike produced instant success, especially at times I was struggling and beginning to get very frustrated with myself to say the least. From the knowledge I gained in the one day and the trust from the instructor to allow me to fight after a difficult start, I can only recommend this company. Thanks guys. P.S. Be prepared before you arrive, hard boots, etc. It’s only for your safety.

I highly recommend Probike. The instructors are very helpful, amazing, knowledgeable and go out of their way to make sure you are successful. I did my CBT, module 1 and passed it from the first attempt, not only passed, but also scored ZERO faults in my test. I can't wait to take my module 2 test next week. I have no doubt that I'll pass, thanks to Probike. Thanks to everyone there who guided me, taught me and instructed me, special thanks to John , Rob, Phil, Mike, Paul and Colin. These guys are amazing. The bikes are well serviced, and safe. If I can give these guys 10 stars, I would. My advice to you, if you want to do well, just listen, take orders and enjoy the ride.

Me and my partner Tom went for our CBT this week and the experience was great! Both our instructors were incredibly patient and helpful. Neither of us had ever been on a motorcycle before so riding a manual was pretty nerve racking! However, both great teachers. Would definitely recommend and we can't wait to go back and do our full licences.

Not great at all. Only 2/3 good instructors. The owner is only interested in money. The mechanic is always helpful though and Dave is an amazing instructor. One instructor quite sexist and slot of racial jokes which weren't funny or professional at all. A waste of time really I would recommend going anywhere else.

I done my CBT here and I enjoyed it. The trainers were very helpful and knowledgeable. £10 for insurance on the day is well worth it as damage costs can be a lot higher.

Did my geared CBT there yesterday. Was nervous going into it as am in my 50s and never ridden a motorbike before. The day could not have been better. Really welcoming and professional. Deb and Dave were fantastic instructors. I went on the road section with Dave and he was brilliant! Really controlled and thoughtful managing us. Pleased to say I passed and can't thank them enough.

Dave and Neville were professional at all times. They were helpful, knowledgeable, gave individual attention very patient but above all your safety and the safety of others was the top priority. Even though you're in a group both Dave and Neville ensured everyone had one to one time. You didn't feel rushed or pressured to be at anyone elses progress level. The bikes used obviously have damage to them, our group were all novices and two out of the 5 of us dropped their bike, although one was because the stand wasn't placed properly. But mechanically everything is well maintained. If you don't have your own helmet gloves etc they are provided for you. I personally can not thank Dave and Neville enough on a personal level for myself. I have chronic back pain and suffer from weakness in my left leg both Dave and Neville ensured I was comfortable and did not have to keep getting on and off the bike to hear/see instructions. They ensured my walking stick was always by my side when I did have to get off the bike. This is something I wanted to do for a while but out it off. I'm glad I found Probike Chigwell and think that this time next year I would like to take my full motorcycle license, I'll be booking with them.

My partner had to take an extended test due to a mistake he made over 20 years ago and had tried previously with another company but failed. He decided to give pro bikes a go and thanks to their experience and professionalism he passed. He is over the moon and would recommend pro bikes to anyone. Thanks pro bike training.

I took my CBT with these guys on Saturday had a great day , it was obvious from the start I was not up to the same standard as the other riders and the instructors actually took me on the road ride one to one, they were great very patient and encouraging, unfortunately thought no fault of theirs I didn't quite make the grade (nerves got the better of me) . I went back today to iron out my issues and it went brilliantly, I had one to one training with Nev and he couldn't have been more encouraging ,after a short stint on the course we went on a great road ride and I loved every minute ,great instruction all the way through...and I passed. Big thanks to Probike for great tuition. If you are thinking about bike training at all I recommend these guys without hesitation.

I did my CBT here, the instructors were really good and despite me never having ridden a bike they managed to get me through it! Both instructors had a good sense of humour, which must be essential when you're doing that job! I'm going back for my DAS, if they can get me through that, they'll be able to get anyone through it. If you are driving there be sure to get there early as the parking is limited and there are thousands of crossfitters that park everywhere and get all the spaces (You'll know who they are because without being prompted they'll tell you they're crossfitters)

Having failed two Mod 1s with another school previously, I switched to ProBike, whose excellent instructors taught me more in my first day of training than I'd learned in 3 or 4 with the other school. Their advice and tips not only got me through my Mod 1 and Mod 2 straight away, but I'm sure will help to make me a better and safer rider in the future. Sincere thanks to Phil and Jason in particular.

Fantastic location, their instructors are incredibly helpful and all with great experience. They are very friendly and will guide you on the best route for you on your motorcycle learning experience. Their big bikes are quite new and in moderately good condition, they also have a selection of msx125s which are great for cbt. Altogether would 100% recommend.

Great place to learn to ride, they have a very experienced team and they make sure you learn to ride safely. They all care that you learn to ride safely, and go beyond just getting through your test. I had Jason and Ian train me, and can't recommend them highly enough.

I have just finished my DAS licence training with this company and now have the biggest smile on my face.. 5 day course last day was my MOD1 Which I passed. The guys at Probike managed to book my MOD2 test for the very next day. Passed again 😁. . I cannot thank these guys enough for the fantastic and totally professional training I have received with them which resulted in the best possible outcome for me. These guys are the real deal and I would recommend 100% to anyone looking for motorcycle training. Again thanks guys

I did my direct licence with Probike in 2016 and passed, training was really good and the trainers knowledgeable and detail was good. I recently got a puncture in rear tyre and took it to a garage who said it could not be repaired, I new Probike did MOTs and Tyres so gave them a call, spoke with Rob who said to pop in. On they day I popped in Rob was busy but only to pleased to help there and then, also said it could be repaired so saved me the cost of a new tyre, the cost of repair was cheaper than quoted elsewhere and price quoted for a new tyre was cheaper as well, would definitely recommend Probike for training and tyres! Thank you.

Okay- the trainers there certainly know their stuff but aside from Nicole they seemed Quite condescending towards me as a young rider. Also the guy- I think his name was Andy had a massive go at me when his poor quality radio with a lead that was too short failed to work on the way to my mod 2 this made me feel quite annoyed before my test which really wasn't helpful. Before going to ProBike I had no experience in road riding. I did my CBT, 6 lessons and both tests with ProBike, passing all first attempt. ALL staff - instructor and otherwise, were helpful, friendly and encouraging. The bikes are Varied in type, brand and size including a Harley Davidson for people with shorter legs, the ability to switch between bikes helps you adjust to your own bike after passing. Price included I couldn't have been Happier. Thank you.
