How much is a CBT in Heywood?

CBT training in Heywood starts from £150, but will depend on the location you choose due to varying training ground rental and equipment costs for the trainers.

What's Involved in CBT Training?

CBT training is often referred to as a CBT test. However, there is technically no ‘test’ involved. CBT stands for Compulsory Basic Training and takes between 6-8 hours on one day, ensuring you can ride safely on your own. 

To take a CBT test in Heywood, you’ll need a valid UK provisional licence or UK full driving licence.

Whether you aim to ride a moped or motorcycle you will need to take a CBT course to get a bike licence. 

The day itself will consist of 5 parts, 4 of these will be off-road. The final part of the day will be road riding where your instructor will monitor you riding safely.

You move onto the next section when your trainer is happy you’ve learnt the theory and shown the practical skills to a safe level.

If your instructor believes that you are not at a satisfactory standard for any of the 5 elements then you won’t be able to continue your training, and you’ll need to book further training on another day.
