A CBT course is the fastest way to get you onto 2 wheels if you’re looking for an easy way to get around London.
We have two great CBT test centres near Twickenham that offer training during the week and also the weekends.
Only 3 miles from Twickenham is Heathrow Motorcycle Training, located in Hanworth at Feltham and Hanworth Airparks Leisure, it is only a short distance from Feltham Station making it a great option if you need to get to your training by public transport. There are also good bus links from Twickenham.
To the West of Feltham is West London Motorcycle Training. Again a great option for anyone travelling by public transport. The CBT test centre is situated in the grounds of Fairholme School.
How Much Is a CBT Test in Twickenham
Both local CBT test sites have varying prices reflecting their location, facilities and equipment. You will be paying between £145 - £170 in and around the South West of London. If you have a limited budget, be sure to search the different training schools in your area to find one suitable for you, as the closest option might not be the cheapest.

What Happens During a CBT?
The course lasts around 6-8 hours and consists of 5 elements. Some of the time you will sit, observe and learn while the instructor talks you through motorcycle controls, how to manoeuvre a bike and how to ride on the road with other vehicles.
At other points on the course, you will get the chance to try out what you’ve learnt and ride around cones, practicing scenarios on the training pad to get used to controlling a bike.
If you show signs of being competent riding, the instructor will then let you complete the final element which is out on the roads! They will follow behind you for about 2 hours and make sure you get experience of riding on a range of roads.
If they are happy you are a good rider you will have completed the course and will be given a CBT certificate allowing you to ride certain bikes on UK roads!
