Local CBT Schools in Sevenoaks
Sevenoaks is located in the middle of two great CBT schools, both a similar distance away but in opposite directions.
Around 8 miles North of Sevenoaks is BLT Motorcycle Training who offer CBT test training at their site at Orpington Rovers Football Ground.
Whereas approximately 9 miles South of Sevenoaks you will find Indie Motorcycle Training at Temple Grove Academy.
Both motorcycle training schools can be easily reached by public transport, the best option in both cases is getting a train.
BLT is just half an hour away by train to Orpington Station followed by a short walk or bus ride. Indie is also reached via train, only a 7-minute walk from High Brooms train station.
If you want to get to your CBT test by car there is parking available on-site at BLT.
Both schools provide you with a bike to learn on and will also be provided with a helmet if you don’t already have your own. Indie currently also offers a jacket and gloves as well, however be sure to check the icons showing exactly what is included when booking in your CBT or check your confirmation email.
What Clothes Should I Wear to My CBT Test in Sevenoaks?
Even if the CBT test school you choose to learn to ride at provides gloves and a jacket you will need to make sure you have other clothing items with you that fit certain safety requirements.
These include sturdy boots that cover your ankles but please note high top trainers won't offer enough protection.
Trousers that are either jeans or specific motorcycle trousers must be worn, tracksuit bottoms or leggings are not suitable options neither are jeans with rips / holes in them.
Your jacket needs to be a thick outdoor jacket that is ideally waterproof, you can find some examples in our clothing guide.
If you need to bring gloves these should be a CE approved pair as opposed to just normal winter gloves.
If you intend on riding a motorbike after you pass we would always recommend that you buy yourself specific motorcycle clothing as these have been designed with your safety in mind. There are plenty of brands offering affordable options these days to suit your own personal style.

Is a Helmet Provided at My CBT Test?
Although often a helmet is provided, not all of RideTo’s partner training schools will provide one for you. When searching for a CBT test, look at the icons displayed by each CBT schools listing.
If there is a helmet icon, the school provides this for you. The image of a training school may also say ‘own kit required’ to make sure you are aware that you must bring your own.
