Where are the CBT test sites in Hastings?
RideTo offers an option of two separate CBT test schools in Hastings, based in either Bexhill or Tunbridge Wells. Both of our sites offer full riding gear hire, motorbike hire and an indoor classroom space out of the elements. Bexhill even boasts an on site cafe should you forget to bring lunch with you.
What should I bring with me to my CBT?
Bring along your confidence and excitement to get on the road! If you have chosen not to hire riding gear or a motorbike, then you will need to arrive with a road legal helmet that meets British safety standards with a CE certification. You must also wear a protective jacket, trousers, shoes and gloves. If you don’t know where to start when choosing your motorcycle gear, check out our RideTo article on the best motorcycle gear for city riding.
As for your motorbike, if you decide not to hire from our convenient fleet of 50/125cc test bikes, you can bring your own provided you already have a CBT licence and are on the training day for renewal. Your bike must be 125cc or below as your CBT will only allow you to ride a scooter or motorbike up to 125cc. Haven’t got a CBT legal motorbike? We have some amazing recommendations on the coolest motorbikes you can ride with a CBT licence. If you are 16 years of age, please remember your CBT licence will only allow you to ride a 50cc scooter.
What if it rains on the day of my CBT test?
Rain is one of the inevitable challenges of becoming a motorcycle rider in the UK! So unless you are facing a storm, your CBT will go ahead in the rain. Most CBT test sites will have waterproofs to hand, however if you own some, bring them along. If riding in the rain makes you feel nervous, we have some tips for riding in the rain that should put you at ease. See this as an opportunity to ride in challenging conditions under supervision, helping you leave your Compulsory Basic Training as a more experienced rider!
