What Is A CBT Test?
Well for starters a CBT isnt a test at all… CBT stands for Compulsory Basic Training and it is designed to take complete beginners through the training they need to safely head out on the road on two wheels.
The training takes place over the course of a day and usually last roughly 6-8 hours, though this can differ depending on group size and how well everyone picks up the skills they're being taught.
There are 5 Elements to a CBT:
1. Introduction And Eye Test
2. The On-site CBT Training
3. The On-site CBT Riding
4. On-road CBT Training
5. On-road Riding

Can I Fail A CBT Test?
As mentioned above, the CBT isn't a test at all which means technically you cannot fail it. That being said, the whole idea of a CBT is to give you the skills you need to ride safely on the road. If for any reason the instructor feels you’re unable to show what you have learnt they may ask that you come back for another day of training.
Peace Of Mind Policy
Should you need to come back for a further day of training and you have taken out our Peace of Mind Policy, we will cover the cost of the second day. This could save you over £130! It should be noted that you have to do your part too, so we cant cover you if you turn up late, wearing the wrong gear or you don’t have sufficient knowledge of the highway code.
