What Can I Expect On The Day Of My CBT Test?
The training itself will last roughly 6-8 hours and you will be shown everything you need to know to get you safely out on a bike on the road. There are a few different elements to the day, firstly an eyesight test and a little theory. You will then be shown around the bike and how to safely manoeuvre on and off the stand. After this, the instructor will ask you to perform a variety of exercises that replicate real-world situations. If the instructor is happy with your progress the day will conclude with an independent road ride where you will be assessed on everything you have learned on the day put in a real-world citation on the road.
Can I Fail a CBT Test?
Technically you cannot fail, though if the instructor feels you’re unable to safely demonstrate what you have learnt then they may end your training early. You will then be required to book the second day of training. If you purchase a Peace Of Mind Policy with your initial booking, then we will cover the cost of the second day of training which could save having to fork out again. There are some conditions to this and the policy will not cover you arriving late or in the wrong gear. Full t’s and c’s can be found here.
Where Can I Ride After I Pass My CBT Test?
There are plenty of amazing roads you can ride on around Bradford once you have passed your CBT. You can head into the city for a morning coffee or why not head North towards the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park which is popular with bikers across the country.
