The Easiest Way To Book A CBT Test

So you’ve decided to learn to ride, and the first thing you’ll need to do is book a CBT or Compulsory Basic Training test. In reality, it is a course rather than a test, as technically you cannot fail, you just may not reach the required standard on the day.

If you want to go ‘Old School’ you can search around on the internet for training schools near your home or place of work, collect a list of phone numbers then ring around until you can find availability but of course, there is a way to book your CBT test easily.

The Easiest way to book a CBT test is at RideTo.com

RideTo was set up as a welcoming place for prospective learners to find and do everything they need to get on two wheels, from booking a CBT, to developing their knowledge and even buying the right riding gear for their needs.

To book your CBT test easily, head over to the RideTo website, and on the very first screen, you're able to enter your postcode into the search bar.

You will then be asked what kind of training you require either CBT, a CBT renewal, Full licence training, an introduction to motorcycling course or a gear conversion course that will take you from a twist and go machine to a fully manual one.

In this case, you will select CBT Training and a click will take you through to the main booking page. If you have a set date in mind, you can select that in the top section and it will show the nearby training schools that have availability.

Alternatively, you can scroll down the page and each listed training school will automatically show you the date the next available training day can be booked.

The Schools listing will detail how far the school is from your location, as well as its full address, facilities at the training centre, customer reviews and of course the price of the training.

After selecting your chosen school you’ll be presented with their calendar of availability, and a choice of bike to hire usually an automatic scooter or manual 125cc motorcycle.

Once selected you’ll see a screen reminding you of what you’ll need to take on the day of training. You will also see a selection of great products you're able to add to your order.

From here you are taken to the online checkout, where all you need to do is enter an e-mail address, check the box to confirm you have read and agree to the terms and conditions and confirm to enter your payment details.

Before you do ‘confirm & pay’ you have the option to take out the RideTo Peace of Mind Policy. For just £29.99 the policy covers you in the event that you do not reach the required standard on the first day. The policy will automatically pay for your 2nd training day if you need it, saving you a lot of money! It offers as the policy would suggest ‘Peace of Mind’ for new riders. It should be noted that it doesn't not cover if you turn up late, wearing the incorrect gear or lack of knowledge of the highway code. You can read the full terms and conditions here.

Once you’ve paid, you’ll get a confirmation with a booking reference, which is followed up by an e-mail with all the details you’ll need ahead of and one the day of your training.

That’s it! it really is the easiest way to book your CBT. All done in one place with all the information you need at your fingertips and there's even a friendly RideTo member of staff on the end of a phone or via the live chat service if you need some advice or just a helping hand.
