About Pass Bike Motorcycle Training
If you are looking to learn to ride in Southend-on-sea and want to pass with flying colours first time, then none other than Pass Bike should be your port of call. Grading as a DVSA Green site, this training centre has received the highest grade at their compliance check. This means that every aspect of the training has been inspected, such as the training, facilities, motorbikes and equipment. This ensures every student riding through their doors can feel confident in the high quality of CBT training in Southend-on-sea you will receive.
The aim of Pass bike is to give all their students the chance to have the modern riding experience. This will involve going through upto date riding techniques and the maintenance of modern bikes with EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection), digital engine maintenance, modern brakes and handling. Their brand new fleet of motorcycles are all under three years old and range from a 50cc moped all the way up to a 650cc manual motorcycle. For the shorter riders, Pass bike will adjust the motorcycle's ride height to 730mm to ensure you feel secure.
The instructors at Pass bike have all been assessed by DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) as well as an assortment of teaching qualifications to keep their teaching knowledge up to date. The instructors are passionate bikers themselves and are an assortment of male and female instructors, meaning they will have the perfect instructor to suit any new rider's needs during their motorcycle lessons in Southend-on-sea.
The training location is perfectly situated between Rochford stations and Southend Airport train station, making it an easy training centre to access via rail. If you would like to attend by car, there is plenty of onsite parking. For those looking for lunch options, you have ‘Sam's cafe’ just a quick 4 minute walk away from the training centre. Pass Bike also boast their own site cafe called 'The Smallest Pot Coffee Stop'. Where cups of tea, coffee, and a range of canned drinks are available. Seating is also provided inside and outside of the cafe.

I have just attended the 4 day advanced motorcycle maintenance course. I enjoyed every minute of the entire course. It's well organised and thought out. All of the staff make you feel welcome from the off. You can ask any questions and the instructors will go out of their way to help you understand. I have learnt so much. I recently completed the 1-day motorcycle maintenance course at Pass Bike, and I had an absolutely fantastic experience! Steve, Jake, and Moe were amazing instructors who explained everything in simple, easy-to-understand terms, making it accessible for any skill level. The hands-on approach was great—actually getting to work on the bikes yourself really helped me grasp what’s needed and how to perform the tasks confidently.
By the end of the course, I felt much more confident handling my bike and dealing with common issues on the road, not to mention how to properly service and maintain it to stay safe. The follow-up links they sent to find all the specs for my bike were super helpful, and I couldn’t believe I got them for just £1.20!
The reception staff were incredibly friendly and bubbly, which made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Overall, it was a perfect day, and I’m now excited to book the extended 4-day course to deepen my understanding. Highly recommended!

I did a two hour training session with Scott, who was a really nice guy, good laugh and made you feel really comfortable. I think it's great that passbike offer these sessions to make you feel more confident before a cbt. I also purchased a Peugeot pm 01 125 from these guys and was very happy with the service (loretta) especially was great at keeping me informed on my bikes arrival etc.
They even let me test ride it after my session, which is rare to have the opportunity. Overall a great experience and a great company.

I recently took my electric scooter for an MOT at Pass Bike in Rochford, and I was genuinely delighted by the experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were courteous and attentive, going out of their way to ensure I felt valued as a customer. They identified that the only issue with my scooter was the headlight height, which they kindly fixed at no extra charge.

My first visit. Fitted 2 MOT s in for me, 1 same day, 1 the next. Very impressed with the very polite helpful and thoroughly cheerful receptionist Loretta.
When I arrived I couldn't believe the selection of new bikes and scooters available here! Great workshop facilities and FREE coffee!!! Couldn't ask for more! Oh and an air conditioned bright reception.
My advice - give this place a go for your next MOT , and they also do all aspects of lessons and Bike Tests and instruction here!

I have just completed the Advance Motorcycle Maintenance Course at Pass Bike, and what a fantastic course this was. The team at Pass Bike were so friendly and welcoming , they are clearly passionate about passing on their knowledge. The course content was very comprehensive you could take your time , everything was explained clearly and the instructors were so knowledgeable. The environment was very friendly with great facilities (plenty of coffee, tea and most important chocolate biscuits). I would thoroughly recommend this course and I look forward to the next one.

Recently did a one day Motorcyle Maintenance course which was £150 for the day. The course was headed up by Moe and we broke down into smaller groups, ours was led by Jake.
The course was informative, hands on but relaxed. Overall, it was enjoyable and in terms of quality, excellent.

I attended the one day maintenance course today and have come away with more knowledge than I felt possible in a day.
The course is a must do for anyone wanting to do basic maintenance/service to a bike. The instructors are patient, thorough and encouraging. Nothing is too much trouble.
This is a very hands on course it is not a theory session although everything is explained. This is very practical.
I’d give 6 stars if I could. Thank you so much Pass Bike!

Three outstanding instructors. Each of them had their own individual style and skillset that complimented each other and the overall course. And as stupid as it sounds, it did really help at times where I could have thrown in the towel.

I went to Pass Bike for a refresher after a 14 year absence from riding due to health , when I spoke to Moe on the phone he couldn't have been more helpful and arranged the day for me . When arrived on the day I was greeted like an old friend although I had never met any of them before which made me feel at ease . I then have to thank Kevin my instructor who relly helped me build my confidence back up even though it was pouring with rain I really enjoyed my time with them .
They also did me a great deal on a loverly Suzuki SV650 they had there .
Looking forward to going back there soon to say hello .

I had a brilliant experience with Pass Bike. They were friendly and helpful from the first phone call.
I have 40 year old Silverwing which I thought might give them issues with its age. They were having none of it, they soon found the fault and fixed it.
And the repair price was very reasonable. I'll definitely go back with any further problems with my old bike.
And I'm extra happy being back on the road.

After a 20 Year break in riding I decided to do a return to riding course. The one to one session with moe was superb. With moes tuition I quickly got back in the swing of it. Lots to learn but nothing was rushed. An enjoyable few hours. I'd definitely recommend pass bike.

Great weather, smashing team, Fantastic setup and marvellous equipment.
The day started with a friendly face welcoming me and other attendees,
With COVID restrictions in place and we’ll maintained facilities we done our class based training and set out to do our basic manoeuvres.
With us feeling in control we had a quick bite and a drink ready for a long ride on the open roads.
A special thanks to Scott for his instructor skills during the ride. (He’s in the ear throughout the ride not to much, but clear guidance and reassurance that he’s always there and watching).

Mo tailored my motorcycle refresher course exactly around my needs. I rented an SV650 from them and it was in very good condition. I hadn't ridden for twenty years so after a quick reminder of the controls I started off with clutch, throttle and brake control doing very slow circuits of the car park and then small figure of eights until I was really comfortable on it. Then off onto the roads equipped with a radio so Mo could give advice and guidance as we went. Through traffic, some open road and some cornering practice. I'm really happy I did the course before buying a bike. I now feel way more confident, and safe, than if I'd just gone and bought a bike and started riding it

Very friendly and helpful staff. We did a one hour taster session and immediatly booked our CBT. We did that on a Sunday, but even so, the yard was busy with several other courses going on, all well socially distant.
Out instructor Scott was excellent and very patient with us, and never felt any pressure to do something we didn't want to do. We had a good two hour ride and had no issues to pass. I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking about riding a scooter or motorbike.

Came along to take my CBT with Rhi. She was absolutely fantastic! Very patient, reassuring and her instructions tips and hint were brilliant. Considering we had a full day of rain, and that I was struggling a little with the gears, she was amazing. Would highly recommend her for anyone having a “mid life” moment, looking forward to finally getting DAS, but maybe next year 😉

I have just completed my Module 1 & 2 over 4 days ( DAS).
I also did an hour first ride on a larger bike ( from a 125) well before I booked in for my DAS to get a feel of the bike and the pass bike instructors.
From day one I felt so supported, everyone I met was superb, wanted to be there and had such a variety of teaching methods and flexibility with booking times and lesson lengths.
I spent the majority of my time with Ian & Mo who again are absolutely incredible, genuine people who love what they do.
I cannot thank you all enough for your support and patience whilst assisting me to pass MOD 1 & 2.
Pass bikes are like a family and I felt so welcomed the last week I’ve been training with you all.

Booked a CBT for my first foray into the world of motorcycling. Having never so much as sat on a motorbike, I was taught all I needed to know by the competent and very knowledgeable Rhi, who encouraged me to get straight on a geared bike. Rhi was very patient, going over any parts that I struggled with, making sure I understood and had mastered it before moving onto the next stage.
I was able to go out for my ride on public roads alongside another student who had far greater motorcycling experience than me and thoroughly enjoyed my day and obtaining the CBT certificate at the end. Theory Test being booked and I’ll be back to work towards my full licence as soon as I can with the help of Pass Bike.
Highly recommend these guys, who were all very friendly, very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what they do.
Speaks volumes when an ex-student turned up unannounced to show off his new bike and everyone was pleased to see him!

Going from knowing nothing about motorbike riding to passing my mod1 and 2 first time with a massive thanks to Ian and Graham two great teachers. From the first phone call i made to these guys i knew it was the right place to learn for me compared to others i had phoned. Yes it was a bit further to travel for me but was well worth the experience. Right from the off they where very friendly and helpful booking the training and tests to a time to suit around my work. The staff at passbike are amazingly skilled at teaching and really no there stuff and its a pleasure to be taught by them, and there passion for biking i think is what makes this place so great you genuinely get the sense that they really enjoy what they do and want to be there and help you all the way threw. Fantastic school. 6 weeks ago I had no experience on bikes and now, after basically one day a week, I have a full licence. I looked around, but the beginner package was by far the best value, so I popped in to see them. Within a few minutes I saw the genuine enthusiasm all the instructors have, and signed up there and then! It's a great family business, and that shows with the attention to detail of instruction. I did a 4 day DAS course with Pass Bike and would reccomend them to anyone looking to do their full motorbike licence. I passed the mod 1 and 2 within the four days which was solely down to the competence of the instructors. The course was good value for money and was the most competitive I could find in the area.
I was instructed by G predominantly, who was friendly, relaxed and knew how to get the most out of people when out riding. All of the instruction was constructive and I was able to focus on certain aspects of the riding I wanted to improve on for my test.
I researched lots of bike schools in the area prior to choosing Pass Bike and was really glad I chose them. It was an enjoyable 4 days, without pressure from the instructors and a lot of fun. Most importantly I went into both tests feeling that I was able to ride confidently and to a good standard.

With one swift phone call I was able to book my CBT, Mod 1 and 2 to take place as soon as possible and was accommodating when I needed to shuffle dates. I was a complete learner having never road a motorcycle on the road before but Passbike's tuition allowed me to sail through the tests. Not only did I gain my full motorcycle license but the tuition also gave me the confidence to ride safely. Me and my sister did our CBT here and I've got to say it was an awesome experience we couldn't have ask for a better instructor too, Graham was excellent very professional and friendly. He was patient and a very good instructor, we were given the option to ride out on the road on a scooter after learning on a geared bike in the training area but Graham's excellent teaching skills meant we were confident enough to use the geared bikes which I'm so glad we did!!
We will definitely be coming back here to either do our full course or hire a couple of bikes for the day to get practising for the full license. All the staff here were very informative and friendly I can't recommend them enough! It's definitely worth driving an hour from where we live to get here
