I can’t recommend Assured Rider Training enough if you’re thinking of doing your CBT. I had Gareth as an instructor and he took the time to understand how I learn, he was patient, calm, told some really awful dad jokes, but they actually helped me to chill out. Gareth really helped me to have confidence and believe in myself, which is a real challenge in itself. Last year I had a really bad experience doing a CBT with a another company and it completely knocked my confidence, so much so that I very nearly didn’t get on a bike again, but I’m glad I did and I will be going back to ART when I want to do my full bike licence. The whole team are so supportive, patience, kind and really invested in making sure that you’re safe and comfortable with the bike. I can’t thank you enough for helping me to make a life long dream come true.

Absolutely professional, couldn't ask for better. Can't wait to finish the full A license, Jacob is the best instructor anyone could ask for. Highly recommended.

I tried a trial hour with this training centre and they were so lovely and patient. I built my confidence very quickly and I will definitely be going back here to do my CBT when I'm ready. I really enjoyed the session and the guys here were really helpful with information about women's clothing and plus size help too. No one made it awkward, just factual and it was great.

I have recently completed my 3 day DAS course with ART to gain my full A licence. I passed first time on each Mod. Dave is an excellent instructor with a personal touch. You don’t just learn to pass the tests; you learn to handle a motorcycle well, safely and with confidence. The site facilities were clean, tidy and welcoming. All the machines are well maintained. The other staff members were equally as friendly and interested in your progress. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. Thank you! From LOU 1T

They did everything in there power to make sure I didn’t pass first try! From sitting on the phone for an hour and a half split up in 3 different phone calls during my session to lunch break to cutting my whole session in half and asking me to pay another £75! For another day! There excuse was your going to miss half a day so I’ll make you pay only half a day of your next session!!!! Scamming c**ts!!!!!!! They even mentioned multiple times how impressed they were on how quick I learned! Feel free to go ahead with this but know it WILL cost you £215 or you’ll just lose £135 like I did!

Switch to ART after not passing a CBT with another instructor. The instructor was far clearer and worked hard to help us understand where our mistakes were coming from. It was made clear that the safety of the rider was genuinely the primary concern before passing.
If you're looking for somewhere, ask yourself: How long is the day? Here is is generally 8:15 - 5pm, this was a full 1:45 more than our first location. What happens if you don't pass first time? Here a second day is half price with a free 121 session.

Complete waste of my money!! I am so disappointed by the training I received in my CBT! The instructors here seem to view “inexperienced drivers” as a waste of their time. Right from the start, they favoured those who had ridden before and/or knew how to drive.
Firstly, in the UK, you only have to be 16 or over with a provisional license to learn to drive a motorbike, so why did I get laughed at by the instructor at the desk when asked about my experience? How else are people meant to learn? I have no complaints about the instructor’s teaching methods, and they were both very kind and courteous. However, the training was meant to take an entire day from 8am to 5pm - but at 11am, I was told to leave so that the instructor could focus on the more experienced riders. I came back at 1pm when the other instructor (who was meant to be teaching us in the morning anyway) arrives. I got some more teaching from the second instructor, who around 3pm stopped teaching because he had “other things to do” and said that myself along with another learner should leave and pay for extra classes and rebook a CBT, which is a lot more money!! I understand that I was struggling to learn and wasn’t as fast picking it up as others were, but that is 3 hours that had been taken away, where I should have been taught!! 3 more hours I payed for and didn’t get. I payed for 8 hours of training and only received around 5 hours where the instructors didn’t seem to want to put in the effort towards a new learner. Extremely disappointed...

Excellent trainers and training. Clear, patient and small progressive steps took me from absolute beginner to CBT, aged 60! Loved it!

If I could give 0 stars I would. If you want to be shouted at and made to feel like a nervous wreck when you are already nervous to begin with then this is the right place to come. Waste of time, and very unfriendly instructors that enjoy shouting and bullying their customers.

The guys here are excellent, I had been riding 10 years but not done my full test. They got me through on a 3 day course, passing without a single minor. The training was really good and made me think about the way I ride and the more advanced side of riding.

Did my CBT today at ART with some lovely, friendly staff with great banter. They take their time teaching you the basics and help improve your motorbike/moped skills if you already have done CBT (which I have) to help you become a more confident and safer rider

Had CBT today fantastic service received, trainers are very helpful and the course is well structured. Have done a CBT before at another company but I think the only thing they got right was the basic. The instructors take there time and I have come away being more aware and better prepared for the roads ahead. Many thanks guys

I completed my cbt with them about 18 months ago. All I’ve really ridden in the past were twist’n’go’s. l finally plucked the courage to go for my full, direct access course. I went for a free assessment and was informed I needed to do a four day course. It took me a while to get the funds together and they helped by allowing me to pay when I could provided I cleared the balance before I started the course. Anyway, I started the course very nervous, because I’d been looking forward to riding properly nearly my whole life. But once I’d started I was fine. We did some riding for the first two days on the 125’s then went onto the 650’s. again I was a bit nervous. After a day and a half of getting used to the bike I was ready. I passed module 1 with no minors and then on the same day I passed module 2 with one minor (didn’t indicate coming off a roundabout) So I’d like to say thank you to all who helped me achieve my goal. I will be recommending this school to anyone who asks.

Had my cbt and direct access here both Lee and Dave are a world of information about bikes and have teaching styles that suit the individual student. I always felt reassured and had a positive experience and result. The bikes are clean and fairly new not abused and neglected like some of the other riding schools.awesome place great people and most importantly it's fun
