This place is an absolute joke. My partner went here to have her CBT done, may I start by saying. The person who was training her had absolutely NO CLUE as to what he was doing, to a point where he had another instructor telling him what to do and telling him he was teaching them wrong. They also started at 8am and none of the cbt trainers had a break, none of them ate and they weren’t allowed to leave to eat. They were left training hungry and kept asking the instructor when the break was but never got one. How do you expect do to the training until 4pm without eating? This place is an absolute joke and I do not recommend it to anyone

I couldn't recommend Phoenix more highly. They have got great facilities and each of the trainers that helped me passed my CBT, gave me my first experience on a big bike, and helped me pass my Mod 1 and 2 were superb. They have an excellent approach to training, spending as much time as possible on the bike, but supplementing this with practical classroom tution.

I passed my mod 1 & 2 with Pheonix Foots Cray, Sidcup. My experience was great right from my first booking, training & on test day. The instructors are informative, calm, patient, encouraging & a good laugh too! Being a lady & a shorter rider, their Kawasaki's have a nice low seat and are surprisingly easy to ride. Thank you so much Lil Chris, Wynn, Sam & Nick. All the best, Kelly

Excellent instructors with great knowledge of the areas and insight into the testing nuances. Given the tricky London based driving location, the instructors were very good in pointing out the problematic areas to focus on. Admin was very good and they were very amiable over the phone, getting me booked in late notice and helping me change bookings. Would recommend to anyone looking to go from 0-(hero) like I did.

It was fantastic learning to ride with the Phoenix team, they helped me through my CBT and Mod 1 & 2. Huge shout out to Harri, who's calm and patient training style really resonated with me. The whole team are a pleasure to chat with, it was a very cordial experience.

Great instructors and bikes (I loved my Honda CB650R). Very clear instruction from Paul for the Mod 1 and passed with no minors. Mod 2 is always going to be a bit less predictable but the instructors' knowledge of the area was invaluable and I managed to pass first time with their guidance. I would have no hesitation in recommending this centre.

I had a very positive experience with Phoenix, who helped me obtain my Category A full motorcycle licence. The four different instructors that I had over my training (which included CBT, Gear Conversion, Get On A Bigger Bike, Mod1 and Mod2 training) were all clear, patient, and great teachers who all offered practical advice and tips. Sam was my main instructor who helped me pass my Cat A test - he was very good and gave me a lot of confidence to help me pass first time!

Yesterday I had my very first CBT at Phoenix Training School in Sidcup, the course is simply amazing and teachers are really nice and great. Started with some theory and after that headed to car park practicing some manoeuvres. Back to classroom for a bit more theory, then headed again outside, this time on the road and I can’t describe the feeling: one instructor for 2 students, driving for about 2 hours. Thank you so much Phoenix and special mention to Shane and Sam, amazing course. If you don’t have protections they’ll provide everything.

Had an amazing day with my son at Phoenix motorcycle training. We attended the trail taster session led by Adam and it was brilliant. Adam manged to turn complete novices to fairly competent off road rider in only 2 hours is which is superb. Adams training style was very informative and professional and he really took his time to ensure we had not only a great day with lots of practical applications of his teaching but also ensured we remained safe at the same time. Both myself and my son will 100% be going back for the level 2 course some time soon! Now where can I buy a dirt bike?

I cannot express my gratitude enough for the support and guidance I received from everyone at Sidcup - especially Harry, Nick, Sam, Paul and Darren - who most recently assisted me with my Mod 1 and 2 training. These guys were so patient and helpful (even when I did silly things!). They were always ready with a piece of advice or a little joke to lighten the moment when things didn't go according to plan and were so encouraging when they did. I cannot recommend them enough. So much so, I'm sad I don't need to go back for more training! 10/10 - best group of guys.

I would recommend this training centre to everyone, staffs are friendly and encouraging. Do not get disheartened if you muck the test, thats for your own safety and the instructors will make sure you are able to address the gaps. One thing I would recommend everyone is to stay light on tests day, well hydrated, relaxed and you will have it like piece of cake. Thanks to Paul. Chris, Sam and Mike!

Cannot thank these guys enough for the patience, the hard work, the encouragement and the top notch training. Despite me being a nervous wreck throughout all my training and my test days, these guys still managed to give me the necessary training to get my full licence. Huge thanks to Harry where it all started with my CBT (I was afraid to go for the full category A, but he put my mind at ease explaining how it's easier to ride bigger bikes). Huge thanks to Mark, Paul, big Sam and little Sam. All of these wonderful fellas made a dream come true cannot thank them enough.

Thanks to everyone at the sidcup centre really nice bunch of trainers. Special thanks to mark for training me for my MOD 1 and also Sam for giving me the best experience/ training I could ask for, for my MOD 2 Thanks a lot see you all soon for the big one! Number 1 training centre :)

It goes without saying that Phoenix are simply fantastic for all things motorcycle education. Used them for my CBT, a ‘Bigger Bike’ taster morning and will now be organising my Mod 1 and 2 training and tests with them. Instructors are great. Bikes and equipment are great. Will always recommend them to friends.

Thorough training, very friendly staff with great experience and very effective teaching methods. Enjoyed every part of all 3 courses now looking forward to my advanced training. Thanks again Vince/Keith/Paul, I'm extremely grateful for your dedication to helping me pass first time!

Fantastic day, Adam was the Instructor, he made us feel welcome, knowledge was exceptional, talked us through multiple subjects in depth prior to touching a bike. But made sure we used 99% of our time doing hands on. Instilled Confidence in me immediately, the road ride was great and at no point did I feel out of my depth. The training centre was brilliant, even the pad work was interesting. I cant wait to go back now to do my DAS training with them. There are many centres closer to home for me but I will always use these guys, thanks all of you for a great day.

As a completely new rider I was stressed and made many mistakes at first, but Adam and Charlie were extra patient and supportive. They explained every single thing. By the end of the day I was riding at 55mph on A20 with confidence! 100% recommended for all ages and abilities! Great professional guys!

Would recommend Phoenix to anyone that wants to start riding a motorcycle. I did my re take course yesterday both instructors were amazing they went into depth about a few things. I was knocked off my bike last Tuesday coming back from work so I was a little shaky but they totally understand that. Thank you very much

I was a novice rider having never been on a bike before (even a bicycle was 17 years ago!). The team are fantastic! They are patient and instruct clearly, noting your areas of improvement and working on them. I passed Mod 1 2nd time (nerves got the better of me first time) and Mod 2 on the 1st attempt with only 1 minor! This is purely down to the team and them making sure you are comfortable on the bike. The staff are friendly and you are made to feel welcome from the moment you set foot through the gate. Each member has their own style and you learn a lot from each. I would 100% recommend Phoenix to anyone thinking about starting their journey on 2 wheels!

Just completed my CBT, I would highly recommend this course and facility. Right balance of education, safety and hands-on riding took me from a complete novice to spending 2 hours on the bike riding around Sidcup and Eltham. Thanks to Joe who led the course and clearly explained each stage, gave practical demonstration, advice and a level of physics of why and was patient & persistent out on the road to remind me of my poor indicator switch off habit. I will be back for the next level of training. People should note this is a 8am to 3:30pm course and take a drink / snack.

After a long search for a training center which would accommodate my fussy schedule I was recommended Phoenix (by their competitor!) and signing up for their DAS training was the best decision of 2020. Starting with Helen and Steve on the phone line - always extremely helpful and benevolent, through to all instructors who not only made sure I passed my tests (in the best professional standard) but were generous with extra tips and advice on a lot more topics than what the course covered - often in their free time rather than "on the clock". I would especially like to thank Wynne, Paul, Steve (who kindly returned to the test center to retrieve stuff that I left behind) and Dan (shared detailed advice on how to sell my bike). Despite only training with a few of the instructors, everyone was super kind and welcoming and I loved the camaraderie atmosphere.

Brilliant instructors, facilities and bikes were great. I really enjoyed learning how to ride a bigger bike and passing mod 1 and mod 2 first time, can't thank Dan, Stuart, Keith, Sam and Paul enough, they were all fantastic! Would highly recommend Phoenix Motorcycle Training Sidcup to anyone!

5
Absolutely amazing experience, thanks especially to Joe for a perfect course start to finish. The whole day was really well structured, and the instructors were both very experienced riders so they were able to share guidance on a lot of things that aren't in the textbooks! More importantly, they had time for any and every question. I had a great time at the Sidcup centre looking forward to coming back soon, 100% recommended.

Just completed a 3 day direct access course with the Phoenix guys over at Foots Cray. Not only were they an awesome bunch of guys, but their training was spectacular and I passed, gaining my full motorbike license. The team have such great banter, make you feel comfortable and confident, and work hard to get you through the course and test safely and successfully. They are well organised and I had a great experience. I’m off bike shopping now. Thank you Vincent and Dan for getting me through Mod1 and Mod2!!!

Thanks to my wife who booked my CBT for my birthday with Phoenix, she couldn't have chosen a better training provider, thanks to Darren getting me through that back in April 2019, as for my mod 1 and mod 2, thanks to Greg and big thank's to Dan for their advice and patience, along with their great training skills, to get me through to pass both with flying colours, the facilities are good, at Sidcup, and Mark and Helen was very supportive over the phone, thank you all! a very professional outfit, I have already recommended Phoenix to my son who will be booking his full licence with them.

If you're reading this it's probably because your interested in using this company for your motorbike training. I am absolutely sure that if these guys cannot train you to pass, then the problem has to be with you. These guys will teach you what you need to learn and do to pass your test, unfortunately they cannot take it for you. They are extremely professional and friendly, they really are interested in you and will give you the best support possible. Still not sure? Really! Then book an assessment, it's usually free!! Pop along and have a chat, I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

I went to phoenix to do my A licence, I initially done the assessment of how many day they think I need and they recommended 3 days fast track course. The two instructors I had Sam and Dan were really good, they teach you alot of stuff and I achieved a first time pass for my mod 1 and mod 2. I would like to thank everyone at Phoenix because everyone there was nice and helpful, and I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to do their bike test. Or even your CBT. They do it all. Thanks again

Amazing trainers and facilities. I was a complete novice prior to taking my training having never ridden a motorcycle or scooter before. Paul, my instructor, was the best teacher I could have hoped for, helping me pass my CBT and full License. Thanks so much for making it possible!

Passed my CBT and full licence with Phoenix at the Sidcup centre. Excellent off road facilities for Mod 1 manoeuvres. Really friendly and skilled staff. Made me feel very comfortable, nice bit of banter and a wealth of experience. Can't recommend them enough.

I did my CBT here. Good equipment and facilities. There's a tarmac area for doing manoeuvres and two tracks for riding around. There's a hut with seating, tea&coffee facilities and toilets. The instructor was a very nice guy who gave very clear guidance and instructions and managed the different skill levels well. I have some medical issues which they accommodated for really well. Really good, pleasant experience and I'd highly recommend.

Fantastic. Phoenix was recommended to me by a friend and I couldn't be happier. I did my DAS assessment & Mod 2 training with little Sam, who is a credit to the company and his training style is very calming (which was just what I needed as I was very nervous). I did Mod 1 training with Chris who is a good laugh and has a lot of experience. He was was patient with me while I struggled with the U turn. Greg took me to and from the test centre for Mod 1 and helped me out by doing a commentary ride and advising me what to focus on improving for my Mod 2 (which really paid off). Being at Foots Cray training centre and Erith test centre, I met quite a few Phoenix trainers and they were all very helpful and reassuring. The office staff are very efficient and friendly and managed to book my training and tests in the week I had off. I passed all my tests first time and I wouldn't have changed a thing :) Thank you!

Went on the ERS course on 26th April 2019 with Hue. It was something I've been wanting to do for a long time. Found the whole experience throuthly enjoyable. Even at my ripe age of 60, with 45 years of experience lots was learnt on the day thanks to Hue. Would like to say a big thanks to Hue and the team. If you are thinking of taking his course would highly recommend no matter what your riding experience is, you won't regret it.

Brilliant. I've recommended to all my friends. I had 3 different instructors over my 3 day course and each focused on different aspects of my riding. The preparation for the tests and for riding on the road in general was exceptional.

Attended a CBT course yesterday, and found the training fantastic, it really gave me the confidence to ride a bike on the roads. The bikes they use are almost new, and the facility is very well planned giving you the road experience in a safe environment. Training was fantastic and has given me the bike bug. I will be using them for my full licence very soon.

I did a full day 'Back To Biking' refresher course, after 10 years off 'proper bikes' following an accident. Using the centre's Honda CB650F, I started off with a few laps of the centre's mini private road system, then onto slow speed manouvering, slalom with cones & U-turns. After that, did some classroom theory, mainly more advanced stuff like filtering and road positioning on bends. Then rode on public roads for the rest of the day. My instructor, Nick actually asked me where I wanted to go, which was pretty cool. We started off with Nick leading the way on a mixture of town riding, filtering and some dual carriageways. Then it was my turn. We got some nice bendy country roads in, round Westerham areas. It was very cold, so a mixture of wet, muddy and frosty roads. Just what I needed to get my confidence on two wheels back again. We spent most of the day's riding scanning far ahead, reading the environment and getting the bike into the best position for upcoming bends, to optimise vision around them. After a while it became natural and flowed very nicely. The road positioning stuff is not taught in lessons before the test (at least it wasn't for me over 10 years ago) and apparently some of it can get you a fail if you do it on your test. But it's all invaluable and when you understand how it works, you won't ride any other way. We finished the day with some national speed limit riding, then some motorway riding. I enjoyed every minute of the day. My instructor Nick is a really nice guy, easy to get along with and has a good sense of humour. His voice through the intercom system was clear and easy to understand. Also, knowing what his previous career was (I won't post it publicly), is very very reassuring. My summary of the course: If you have been off the bike for a few years, have had an accident or close call or just feel like having a professional scrutinise your riding (in the friendliest manner of course), I have to say just go for it and book a day with Phoenix. As I said before, the stuff you learn is invaluable and I definitely feel safer and more confident. I've asked my family and they have peace of mind knowing that I've invested in my safety. Thanks Nick & everyone at Phoenix. Darren S

Amazing team at Phoenix footscray and all of the team handling the phone lines! (Steve is very caring and always so happy!) Completed my CBT and this week passed my A2 test with many thanks to Darren who really helped me. Genuine, knowledgeable instructors who helped me along the way. They are there to of course help pass your test but more so to make you a confident rider on the roads. Enjoyed my experience from the beginning! Thank you again, I will make a reappearance in 2 years for my A.

I took a free taster session on Phoenix's 125cc motorcycle. The instructor, Dan, had his work cut out with me, a complete novice with a lot of bad habits from my cycling days to get rid of. Fortunately, he was friendly, patient, and very clearly very experienced in teaching people like myself, and he soon had me riding around the course with growing confidence, and attempting some of the basic manoeuvres that will hopefully see me on the roads in the not-too-distant future riding safely. I could not recommend me highly! Thank you.

Fantastic motorcycle training company, have completed all my training with them, from my cbt 4 years ago, up until my full A license this week! I had most of my training with Darren who really helped me concentrate on what I'm doing out on the roads, to calm down and to be a better rider, resulting in me passing my A license mod 1 and mod 2 first time. Dan and Greg are also lovely and everyone is super supportive and really want you to pass. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get into riding.

Phoenix took me from being a complete novice to CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2. I'm now riding a 1000cc dream machine and loving it. My very special thanks to Chris, Keith and Greg. These people know their stuff. It's exactly what you need if you want to ride motorbikes. No compromises. Completely satisfied and absolutely delighted with the training I received. Enjoyed the riding and the whole Phoenix experience immensely. The very best in the business. Highly recommended.

The best place for motorcycle training hands down!! I only found this place after traveling to crystal palace station and constantly seeing learners riding The staff are really friendly and will give you the most appropriate advice what is genuinely in your best interest. They offer a lot of free sessions like riding assessments and 1-2-1 improver training for 2 hours. The location is also great as it is right behind Crystal Palace station! Anyone looking to learn how to ride in London should definitely use phoenix - they have 5 training centres across London. I highly recommend them!

Booked in for fast track Mod 1 + 2 training. Dan and Darren did a fantastic job in coaching me with everything I needed, always made me feel comfortable and at ease. I enjoyed the training so much and passed my tests, they couldn't have prepared me anymore if they tried. If you're considering taking training don't go anywhere other than Phoenix, I have done my CBT and now my A2 license with them and I cannot fault them on anything. The guys are always up for a laugh and you'll have a great few days with some great people on some fantastic bikes. Thanks Phoenix, see you in 2 years for my Full License!

Have just taken the fast track course for full big bike licence. Passed first time. Great customer service from beginning to end. The guys who you talk to on the phone, Helen and Michelle were great, booked me in for a big bike assessment. Turned up to the assessment had a play on a 650cc machine for 45mins with instructors and was advised that fast track was perfect for my skills. Booked in for my training and tests within 2 weeks of calling the office! On the training, the instructors, Nick and Darren were brilliant. Coached when necessary then pushed me when needed! Darren taught me how to ride a bike, not how to pass the test which was perfect. I'm so grateful to him and the rest of the guys. They are the only training school in the area which have a practice space for Mod 1 test. Which means you have all the time you need to get those slow speed skills. Perfect. I highly recommend these guys. Professional begining to end. Thanks again Darren and the team at Phoenix 👍

Great place to learn to ride. They have loads of centres over England. Some in more rural areas and some in busy city areas, a great option for people that want to choose where they learn to ride. Good friendly, down to earth, normal staff! Great up to date bikes. They also have connections to some of the bigger motorcycle shops for clothing and bikes. If you learn and pass your test with Phoenix you may be able to get decent discounts on bikes and clothing!

Really good team of instructors, very supportive, caring and fair. I have had genuin fun time with them on both of the days. I highly recommend to anyone doing CBT or full licence. My only advice would be to bring your own motorcycling gloves the ones the have might not fit your hands comfortably, safety gear smells abit but that is to be expected people ride in them all day in rain or heat with that being said they are still keep them as clean as possible and in good condition.

Great training school, fantastic staff and very thorough. I took my CBT with Phoenix, having never ridden a motorcycle before. I completed my CBT with Phoenix, and was very pleased with the experience. I think the structure of the course was well laid out and had me going from zero motorcycle experience to riding on the streets with relative confidence. I really appreciated the patient approach they took to teaching us how to ride. Can't recommend these guys enough if you are thinking about going for it.

I had a really first class service from these guys in every way and it was a great experience. The booking and admin was dealt with by Helen who was friendly and very efficient and good communication with the instructors guaranteed I was sold the right package for me. Working with instructors Dave, Ben, Dan and Wynn these guys got me from CBT to Full Bike licence in a matter of weeks. Great bunch of people who enjoy what they do. Respect... S

Absolutely fantastic service and training. All of the facilities are first class, office team were great and extremely helpful and the instructors were 100% professional and great people to train with.
