Quite simply the very best Motorcycle Training School forget Peterborough but in our region! From booking my CBT through to passing my Mod 2 (all at the first attempt) I found the delivery of the training to be methodical and well structured with a special mention the Matt and Chris the two amazing Instructors who both taught me to a high standard of competency with their friendly, approachable personalities which made the training thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you to you both for helping me pass the full course and making me a safe and confident rider. I really can't recommend Shires Motorcycle Training highly enough to anyone thinking about learning to ride a motorbike and passing the tests. DO NOT waste your money going with any other training school! 10/10 A++++++

I was very apprehensive at the start of my training, but these guys are great! My journey to becoming a safe bike user was actually an easier one, because these guys really care. They were all friendly, professional and really knowledgeable. Through their training and observations, I was able to gain the skill and confidence to gain my CBT. Started with no riding experience at all, and within just over a month had gone from CBT to passing my Mod 2 test. I had Matt for the majority of my training, who I found to be extremely knowledgeable and approachable, and really easy to get on with! Although we were training for the tests, it was a good laugh and very enjoyable. Quality of instructors is fantastic. Cannot recommend Shires Peterborough enough, 5 stars any day of the week!

Highly recommended! A really good experience. I had tried a CBT at an alternative provider and had been disappointed with the experience. Shires was totally different. The instructor was very supportive and it was a pleasure completing the course, despite the cold and rain!

I don't have word to explain how professional the company runs their trainings and preparation for the tests. My trainer Matt did everything he could to make me feel relaxed but safe at the same time. The way he explain the theory and teaches the practical side of riding is incredible. Motorbikes that company uses are adjusted for short rides as I am which makes me feel safer. Intercom system they use is top brand with great quality of sounds. Hi :-) Two days ago I had pleasure to pass my MOD1 and MOD2 – both them at the first time !! – I not had any experience in riding bike (well few rides 20 yrs ago as kid only). DAS course was brilliant from start to finish our instructor Matt had show us a lot of patience and amazing people skills. Training is nice balanced to prepare for both tests – time spend on bike is more than enough to make feel confident on two wheels. Even that English is not my first language Matt makes all nice and clear so communication was excellent. Thank you Shires and Matt to introduce me to Bikes 😊 See you on the road and again much appreciate your support !! If I could I would give 10 stars. So few thinks I like: 1. Best instructor ! 2. Bikes – good condition 2020 Kawasaki 650 – nice in drive and well looked after 3. Lots of different size of jacket, helmets etc 4. 5 hr in test centre were we could practice. Best Regards Marcin

Excellent from start to finish. As a shorter rider I was able to go and sit on their low seat Z650 which put my mind at ease that I could handle the bike. Matt is a very laid back instructor, easy to get along with and very knowledgable. He will take his time with you to make sure you not only pass your test but have the skills to be safe on the roads afterwards. I have experience of some other schools in the area but don't even look at those, go straight to Shires!

These guys are fantastic - everything you could want from a bike school. I'm not going to dwell on this point, but I started my training with another large well known bike school and was really quite unhappy there for a number of reasons. By contrast, Matt and his team at Shires are really friendly, helpful, flexible and professional. The bikes are brand new lovely bikes, and they have one with a lowered seat, suitable for people like me who are only 5'4" which made a huge difference. They also tell you what gear you're in. All my training was with Matt so there were no continuity issues. He is an excellent teacher and a very nice guy. As others have said, the helmets are fitted with the latest blue tooth 2-way communication - it works, and is very comforting have 2-way instead of only 1-way. Their prices are also very competitive. Just passed my Mod 2 first time. Choose Shires, you won't regret it.

I recently took my CBT with shires even when I was riddled with anxiety and discomfort considering my stress gets the better of me they made me feel so safe and assured. It was my first time even riding a bike/putting a helmet on, heck it was my first time really taking the leap in doing something like this. I gotta say I can't be more happy with the instructors and service in getting my understanding of the bike down, heck even the positive reinforcement when I looked confident and collected was such a huge boost in my drive to do well and my happiness bloomed. The guys were amazing I couldn't hope for a better bunch of lads, honestly treated me so well and gave me the best. anyone looking for a bike test should book with Shires I can't stress how lovely the whole experience was.

Give really good honest advice, not used place yet , but will soon Update : have completed CBD, very pleased with process and staff, who were very relaxed and patient Only thing I would like is for Shires to have a motorbike suitable for very short people to do tests on.. But I guess this is not cost effective and or may not be required too often but then again this may be a big gap in the market which they could cease.. Being the best in area they could become 1st to offer shortie service! I could be the guinea pig. Overall Shires is a very good professional organisation, with nice cheery people, I would not hesitate to recommend them to others. Well done Shires.
