I have done my CBT, Mod 1 & 2 at the Cwmbran centre and they have been great. All the instructors have been brilliant and helpful. The bikes are all modern and well looked after. Thank you to the team !

The course id very thorough but was fun throughout.
Both instructors are incredibly patient and accomodating.
Kris took me out for my road ride, pure laughs all the way! Great feedback throughout.
Will be using these for my DAS.
If your in any doubt or nervous... Don't! I was and couldn't of wished for a better day.

Today I completed the New Rider training course at Bike Train Wales in Cwmbran, and I couldn’t be more impressed. As someone with little to no experience riding a motorbike, I found the course incredibly beneficial. It covered everything from understanding the different parts of a motorbike to learning how the clutch works—especially how it differs from driving a car or van.
The training was a great mix of theory and hands-on practice, with a strong focus on safely handling a bike at low speeds. What truly made the experience exceptional was my instructor, Simon. He was friendly, patient, and incredibly supportive throughout the day. His clear explanations and calm approach made me feel comfortable and confident.
I was initially unsure about booking the course, but looking back, it was the best money I’ve spent in a long time. I now have a solid understanding and some practical experience, which has really helped me prepare for my upcoming CBT in under two weeks.
Huge thanks to Simon for his excellent teaching—what an absolute pleasure it was to learn from him. Highly recommend this course to any new rider!

Completed my CBT in Cwmbran today as an older learner at 46 😀 and could not recommend Biketrain Wales highly enough. The instructors (Kris and Julian) were brilliant. Adopting an approach which is exactly what you need to gain confidence on a bike, even when you’re making mistakes - both very patient, calm, and helpful whilst keeping you safe. Kris was great on the open road section - armed with constructive feedback and brilliant tips at half time when we paused for reflection and feedback at Greggs in Llantarnam! Exactly what I needed to come away with my certificate and now begin the extended learning process on my own bike. Thank you again.

Great booking service. Very knowledgeable staff on the day. Not a minute wasted from 08:30 to 16:45. Every aspect covered in detail to ensure you are comfortable moving onto each element.
The 2 hour ride out with the trainer flew by. Time to have a bit of fun as well as covering all modules made it a great experience. If you are thinking of taking motorcycle training in south Wales these people will help you achieve your goals.

Biketrain Wales are clearly the best motorcycle school in the area. Full size class room with knowledgeable friendly instructors. Has proper facilities with running water and a large training yard with a safe grippy surface. My instructor could clearly see I was nervous and followed behind on my test, my test felt like a group ride with the boys. Thank you to all at Bike Train wales for helping me pass my test 🙏🏻

Had my cbt Thursday and wow did not think I would get through it but with the 2 guys for life of me, I can't think I passed my cbt ! Passed on a scooter but then I picked up my own geared honda Friday morning and it's been a blast . 5 star all way thank you so much ! Hopefully they see this post 😍
