About Excel Motorcycle Training

Excel Motorcycle Training is a small but mighty training centre, situated in the heart of Colchester. The training centre has an impressive reputation for producing successful riders, particularly in advanced riding training, and is known for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The team of experienced and knowledgeable instructors strive to help riders of all skill levels, from complete novices to experienced riders, to enhance their riding abilities and achieve their goals.

The training centre offers a variety of courses, each tailored to different riders' needs and requirements, from CBT training to full licence training for those who are more experienced.

The training centre provides motorcycle hire ranging from 50cc mopeds all the way up to 650cc manual motorcycles, depending on the course chosen. To make things even more convenient for your training, the centre includes protective gear such as helmets, gloves, and jackets within the price of your course. You can rest assured that you will have everything you need for your training. However, you will need to bring hard-wearing trousers/jeans and sturdy ankle-covering boots.

Located in Colchester football stadium, the training centre is incredibly accessible by public transport, with several bus routes passing outside the location. For those travelling by train, Colchester train station is just a 40-minute walk away! If you prefer to drive, the training centre is located on the A12, making it super accessible, and on-site parking is available.

There is a BP garage and McDonald's just over the road for all your food needs! However, we'd recommend bringing your own lunch on the day, so you can stay fuelled throughout the day and make the most of your training.

Highly recommend!! Excell Motorcycle Training cares about the safety of motorcyclists, they are ridged with their training no short cuts are taken. Id never ridden a bike before and had no confidence when I started. Ian is a patient and calm man that will adapt his teaching style to suit the student.
