On the training side, Manleys covers the full journey: CBTs for riders taking their first steps or renewing an expired certificate, right through to full licence packages (A1, A2 and A) covering Module 1 and 2 test prep. Having both ends of the pathway under one roof is a strong pitch — riders who pass their CBT here have an obvious, trusted next step rather than needing to shop around. Worth checking whether they currently offer an ITM (Introduction to Motorcycling) taster session too — if not, it's a natural gap to fill given their instructor base, and a good low-commitment entry point for the more nervous end of our audience.

On location: the site sits on Ford Road, about a 15-20 minute walk (or short bus/taxi hop) from Clacton-on-Sea railway station, the terminus of the Greater Anglia Sunshine Coast Line with direct trains to London Liverpool Street (roughly 90 minutes) and connections via Colchester. For local riders, several KonectBus routes (including the 1, 2, 4, 6, 7 and 9 groups) run through Clacton town centre, putting the school within easy reach without a car.

Been going to this places for years for bikes servicing and mot and getting bikes from them Brand new never had any problems there friendly and supportive and reliable , they recently just few days ago saved my bike by fixing my bike because went first bikes Clacton . at first as needed bike done ASAP and I just wished waited longer to go Manleys as first bike made it worst by making my bike in to a death trap and mot failure. By not doing all check proply just said they did it . Put chain on wrong way around and made it have less links blamed me , put wheels on wrong way around didn’t do brake fluid or front brakes didn’t check them or changes anyway filters or spark plug didn’t do wheel dampers when they said all been changed they just took advantage and mug me off knowing I got learning difficult . So don’t go first bikes could have killed me. Thanks Manleys for making my bike like new AVOID FIRST BIKE

Great motorbike shop, I had my CBT and gear training both with them and I passed my CBT first try and did well on my gear training. All staff very helpful and kind. Made a couple mistakes on my gear training (as everyone does) but Adam helped me gain my confidence on the road and ways I can improve in the future (should give him a raise)
