Exeter has multiple Motorcycle training locations that provide excellent motorcycle lessons to suit every rider no matter their experience. If you’re looking to learn to ride quickly and safely, a one day CBT training course will be the one for you! For you more experienced riders looking to take your Full Motorbike licence, you will need to go to another location nearby such as Exmouth or Newton Abbot.

Firstly you will need a UK Provisional or Full Driving Licence (or an EU licence with a UK counterpart). Secondly, you will have to turn up to your motorcycle training on time, in appropriate protective clothing which includes strong trousers such as jeans or motorcycle trousers and sturdy boots - check out our What To Wear For Motorcycle Training guide.
Thirdly you will need to pass an eyesight test to prove you can read signs and signals at an acceptable distance. Then when riding the scooter you will need to show the instructor you can ride a motorcycle safely with control and that you have a good understanding of the UK Highway code and the English language. You will do this during your 2-hour road ride towards the end of the CBT training.
