Chelsea is a prime location for commuting across London. Being well connected to many roads that take you into the heart of London you can quickly and easily be in different parts of the capital in no time at all.
Most motorcycle parking is free in the centre of London - just look out for the bays marked ‘Solo Motorcycle Only’ as these are always free and there’s no time limit to how long your bike can be parked there either.
Closest CBT Test Centre Chelsea
RideTo allows you to browse all of your nearest CBT test centres. If you enter your postcode into the search bar at the top of this page you will find that your closest is likely to be Off The Kerb Motorcycle Training in Shepherd’s Bush.
Off The Kerb are a great opinion for anyone who wants to learn to ride who lives in central London as they have a large training pad-based inside the White City Territorial Army Centre.
This training school provides you with a helmet for your training but you will need to bring CE rated gloves and a suitable jacket with you, alongside sturdy ankle boots and thick trousers which are always required. To check out examples of what clothing is and isn’t ok to wear to your CBT test, take a look at our clothing guide.
Another place to take your CBT test near Chelsea is Phoenix Motorcycle Training Crystal Palace however you are currently required to attend with all of your own kits, including a helmet and CE rated gloves. This makes it a good location for those looking to renew their CBT license who have all their own gear already.
If you need a motorcycle training school that will provide you with a helmet, gloves and a jacket then Universal Motorcycle Training in Alperton might work best for you.
What Motorbike Can I Ride on a CBT?
If you are 17 or over you can ride up to a 125cc motorbike with just a CBT licence, however you may choose to stick to a 50cc moped or scooter - the choice is yours!
If you are 16 you can only ride a 50cc moped after completing a CBT.
If you want to ride larger, more powerful bikes or ride a 125cc on a motorway, with a passenger on the back, you will need to do your CBT test followed by a Full motorbike Licence course.
