What Can I Do To Prepare For A CBT Test?
The best thing you can do to prepare for a CBT test is brush up on your highway code knowledge. This will give you a better understanding of road position, signs etc and will come in handy for the road riding section of the test.
If you're worried about taking your CBT test then grab a copy of our New Rider Journal. This is a booklet we put together to act as a resource for all new riders. It contains everything you need to know to get through your CBT test and on to your DAS should you wish to follow the route to a full licence. Alongside this, the journal is packed full of the very best gear and bikes on the market. To top it off we include some of our favourite destinations for bikers to head to.
It's also worth having a gander through Youtube where there are plenty of videos of people taking their CBT test. This will help you to familiarise yourself with the process ahead of the day.
What Shall I Bring With Me For My CBT Test?
Firsltly you need to ensure you have your photocard licence with you. You need to ensure you have the physical licence with you as a photo or a scan will not be accepted. If you don't think your licence will arrive in time then just get in touch with our helpful team at hello@rideto.com and they will be able to see what they can do to assist you with your booking.
You will also need your national insurance number. Both of these are needed to enable the instructor to carry out a licence check.
You should also bring your glasses if you wear them for seeing distances and bring a packed lunch and some water to get you through the day. Not all our schools have shops local to them so make sure you're fuelled up for the day.
