I did my introduction to riding and CBT with Saferide earlier this year and have just completed my week long intensive full licence course. I am absolutely delighted with the quality of training I have received for all three courses. I was fortunate enough to do the week long intensive course with Tony, who is the owner of Saferide, and I would have to say that he is a brilliant instructor. He is very patient and positive, and will take you to a standard of riding higher than is actually required to obtain a licence. This course really puts the 'intense' in intensive, and for a novice like me, I was really feeling the pressure. This is where Tony comes into his own though, because his almost relentless stream of awful jokes and interesting stories about his fascinating backstory really helped to calm me down. He is a very kind and sensitive man and manages to coax a smile out of everyone he meets. It was an absolute pleasure spending this last week in his company, and in the space of 5 short days I went from nervy self doubt to confident rider, I can barely believe it! I actually feel like a proper biker now, and am looking forward to a new chapter in my life. And it's all thanks to Tony and the Saferide team. Seriously, check them out, you won't find better.

Oh wow, what can I say. I had such a wonderful time today! I passed my CBT a couple of weeks back and Tony invited me to do a trial run on a 700. After doing some slow control work (figure of eights, U turns etc), we went out on the roads. Tony made sure I felt confident and he knew exactly how far to push me so that after the session I felt like I had achieved a great deal. The set up is not just very professional but it's super friendly, with a fun vibe which is exactly what's needed when approaching a new adventure like this. I can't quite believe that I experienced different kinds of roads, speeds and situations on a SEVEN HUNDRED today. I'm feeling chuffed to bits and I owe Tony a massive thank you! Cheers mate :-)

Had the best time doing my CBT with Ian. Started off the day in the class going over safety and equipment then out to walk round the bikes. The facilities are excellent! So much better than just doing figure 8s in a car park somewhere. The school has proper lines marked out, junctions, traffic lights, it really helps with controlling the bike before heading out. Would definitely recommend them and will be going back to do the rest do my trainings. Thanks to the whole team!

I had an absolutely fantastic training day doing my CBT with Saferide Motorcycle & Scooter Training. Tony was cracking jokes from the get go which put myself and my peers at ease. The in-house training was phenomenal and it gave me the tools to ride on the road. Steve took me and another learner onto the road, he was super calm and wise which made me feel at ease on the road. A few months ago I would have never thought I’d be holding a Category A licence in my hand. Today it became reality! I trained with Saferide under the instruction of Steve on the 5 day D.A.S and it was a great experience and I passed first time! Steve was extremely knowledgeable and patient throughout the course. Naturally, after 30 years, I was a bit nervous getting back on a bike, however, my fears were unfounded. Dermot was the most patient coach, and understood exactly where my weak spots were, taking me over them meticulously, and assuring I had control before moving on. On the ride out in the afternoon I still felt a little nervous, but I also felt that Tony was making sure that we were safe, and shielded us from traffic as we progressed from the backstreets, to the open road. The calming voice on the intercom was reassuring, although the jokes need work. In all, it was a wonderful day that left me feeling I might actually survive riding alone. Riding is such a liberating feeling, I'd recommend Safe Ride to anyone considering a bike, and I'd even say, just do it for the thrill of mastering ( well getting basic control of ) a bike, it's an uplifting experience all-round. Thanks Safe Ride, I'll be back for my full license soon.

Where to start with Saferide, the whole process from booking with Sue and then training with Steve was just perfect, Sue in the office is a star and Steve is probably one of the best motorcycling instructors out there who has a genuine passion for making sure you are the best and safest rider you can be, overall is just a really great place and I don't have a bad word to say about it, passed my mod 1 and then mod 2 with no minors so that really is a testament to Steve and how good he is. I'm based in Central London and travelled down to do the DAS course and I am so glad i stumbled across saferide. I have also recommended Saferide to my work colleagues and friends, I've just brought my first bike and I literally cannot wait to get some miles under the belt and then come back for Advanced Rider Training. Professional and experienced instructors will ensure you become a competent and safe rider well prepared for life on the open road! The DAS training was extremely thorough, meaning that I was well prepared for the Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests themselves. I've had the pleasure of spending time with Bernadette, Graham and Steve. The latter got me through my full bike license first time, that is having never sat on a big bike prior to 5 days before my test. These guys are the real deal..... they know what they're doing, they're all fantastic people and their bikes are awesome. I'd say they are under-priced if anything! p.s. it rained HARD for 2 of the days but they were still amazing fun.

Tony and Tony where both extremely helpful, I had last ridden twist and gos 8 years ago while working abroad and went to do my manual CBT with them, the pad training was done with politeness and patience, all my questions where answered and I felt I could work at my own pace. I was asked to return for more training after my first day before my road ride but was in full agreement that this was the best option given my confidence and ability. On my return I went over some of the things i had struggled with initially on the pad and went out for my road ride, the communication on the road was excellent, I felt safe and comfortable for the whole journey. I've got myself a lovely little learner bike and will be returning to Saferide to do my full license as soon as I can. Thanks guys.

I had my first 'New Rider' lesson with Luke, it was the fist time I ever rode a 125 and I was so nervous. Luke was so patient and so reassuring. By the end of the two hour session I had already learnt more than I thought I would and was riding around the yard comfortably and confidently! Had my second lesson with Alex, and he was brilliant, didn't miss a detail and I was soon changing gears and moving through slow controls with ease. Completed by CBT with Little Steve and Tony, I was on a different bike and was so anxious but Steve took time over lunch to help me out so I was ready for the road. What a great experience! From CBT to DAS I’ve had a great time, talented instructors that don’t just want you to pass your test, but actually care about making you the best rider you can be and all whilst have a fun time. Test aside, being out on the big bikes around Sussex is one of the best things I’ve done this year and is way better than driving experiences you purchase for fun. These guys love biking and want you to as well, but all wrapped-up with some seriousness needed to make you safe – it does what it says on the tin – Safe Rider. Passed both Mod 1 and Mod 2 with a clean sheet, no faults – that’s the standard they train you too. You are probably a bit over trained for the tests (which actually make them easy), but that’s a good thing as passing your test is only the beginning and these guys give you much more than you need just for the test – these are bike skills for life and you’ll actually miss not being there once you’ve passed. Big shout to Steve for the DAS training; great guy, huge experience and cares about what he’s doing, it’s not about the money, it’s getting more bikers on the road to a very high standard of riding. I would thoroughly recommend – if you’re thinking of taking the plunge, then give these guys a call and enjoy the journey!

Recently completed my DAS course with Big Steve, having also done my CBT with him just over a year ago. I was impressed then and continue to be now. Steve is seriously good at what he does and I knew I was in safe hands. Any concerns I had about getting on a big bike were nipped in the bud and I gained confidence quickly. I passed first time, with a clean sheet, and that's testament to Steve, his dedication and dogged teaching. He's a hard task master but gets excellent results and now I can't ride my new (big) bike without hearing his voice in my head reminding me to do life savers and look out for hazards! It wasn't just about passing the test, it was about becoming a safe rider. Huge thanks to Steve, Tony and the team.
