Tizwaz Rider Training is a long established family-run business based in the Poole / Bournemouth area. Tizwaz has an interesting history ad they originally started out as a second hand biker clothing store supplying quality leathers to the local riders. The business evolved over time and expanded to include a motorcycle training school as the team are truly passionate about getting more riders onto the road!

Their training site is perfect for training and is the only purpose built road safety training centre in Dorset, it is also conveniently located in the heart of Bournemouth! This means off road training can be carried out with absolute safety and confidence with plenty of space for you to work on your skills. Due to their great location and fantastic team of instructors who are approved by the Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency they have an awesome reputation.

Tizwaz are a great choice for riders no matter your previous experience as they focus on being flexible as possible with training and really go that extra mile to cater for each individuals riding needs. They offer CBT courses for new riders all the way through to full licence direct access courses.

The training site is easy to reach using public transport, the nearest station is Pokesdown which is less that a 20 minute walk door to door. Alternatively if you travel to Bournemouth station the training site is less than a 30 minute walk. The local roads are generally on the quieter side, with a plenty of opportunities to practise all scenarios as you move towards Bournemouth during your training. All bikes are well maintained with Automatic Scooter and Manual Motorcycle options for all riders, from 50cc and 125cc up to full size motorcycles.

We would always recommend bringing some lunch and water to ensure you're fully charged throughout the day.

Theres a reason why these guys have spaces within weeks and everyone else is booked up well in advance, the reason is boots, they'll send you home and keep the cash if you haven't got boots, which i can understand on a proper motorbike, but is rediculous on a CBT for a moped, its NOT a legal requirement, theres 1000's of delivery riders in this town, and they all say avoid tizwaz because they'll insist you have boots, im not gunna spend the money to buy some boots that will get used for one day. edit to respond: legally i can wear trainers if i want to, no other CBT providers in the area enforce it and non of them have issues with accidents and broken ankles, aslong as you say you recommend boots for safety reasons thats your job done.

Fantastic experience all round with this training school. I did my CBT there 2 years ago and just recently my direct access. Chris and Elliot are friendly, informative and patient and most importantly got me through my tests first time. You can't go wrong with these guys. Highly recommended.

This has to be honestly one of the best places to learn, after having a really bad experience with a cbt else where, I was a little worried about retaking however, Tizwaz is a incredible place to go. The staff are extremely lovely and understanding, clear and knowledgeable. Chris was my trainer and he was utterly brilliant help me thought out the day, funny and informative. After passing the CBT with flying colours. I hit home and jumped on my yamaha yzf R-125 for the rest of the day, had a so much fun and freedom and confident on roads, thank you tizwaz amazing

Called and booked a CBT test for 2 days time. The morning of the test i called an hour and fifteen minutes before to say i couldn't make it and could we please reschedule. Told i basically had to pay again with a £30 dicount. Unreasonably greedy considering the instructor had someone else booked on the course with me the same day

James taught me the correct way to ride. I was not the best educated rider and once I had finished the course and passed my test I became much more aware thanks to James. As an aging first time rider I was a little apprehensive about the CBT. There was no need to be as the course was superbly run, the two instructors were incredibly patient with a couple of wobbly riders (me included) and a couple of experienced riders. The small class size was great, the bikes were easy to ride and the standard of delivery of the material was conversational and memorable. The road craft left me with great confidence in my abilities (let's hope these are shared by other road users) and overall it was a great day. Highly recommended.

Very Bad :I do not recommend because you do not pay tizwaz more money if you get same thing from others company cheaper. If you did not get CBT after paid £150 as renewal than they will bring you back for £100.total cost £250.? That's means you have to pay more money unnecessary another point if you are foreigner.I have had bad experience from them after expired my CBT to go back on road and they did not allow me because they want to make more money. I have riding the manual motorcycle last 8 years. I have experience and confidence make me always happy because give up the tizwaz and I achieved renewal CBT from others company . I do not weast my time 5 hours and less Money than £150 with experience instructor who can tell you how is your riding experience before riding on the national speed limit. Do not weast time if you renew your CBT. You should to go others. Who can not weast your time. Because you want to go back road.. Thank you all students. If you go to others DVLA authorised company than you will know where is the difference between them.

Just done my CBT over the course of two days (14th and 15th October) and so glad I chose Tizwaz Rider Training. My instructor was James, who was absolutely brilliant. James knows his stuff and enjoys educating and training people which really shows when he's looking after you. He explained everything, made sure you got it right and took his time with you. The first day was at the training centre, the second day was a big ride out around Bournemouth and Hengistbury Head which I thoroughly enjoyed. Over the two days i never felt rushed or pressured, my advice is if you dont have any road craft or any experience with motorcycles/scooters/mopeds to do the two day option. Yes it's a bit more money but it's well worth it and from being really nervous about getting on a 125 cc to at the end of day two excited about getting my first bike and being on the road, that's down to these guys and the excellent training. Choice of bikes is fantastic too. They do have helmets, gloves and jackets available but make sure you have at the very least some denim trousers and boots. :)

I did my retake of the CBT with James at Tizwaz. It was my fault that I let it expire and hadn't got round to doing my full license. I used a different local instructor for my previous CBT but didn't want to use them again as they had very poor people skills. I was recommended Tizwaz and saw a huge difference in teaching style, people skills and overall experience. It was a great day out, I would most definitely recommend Tizwaz to everyone. I am looking to book in my full license with them soon.

I had a fab day doing my CBT with James (instructor) and another female learner, James is immediately welcoming & friendly and offers you a brew ;) The lessons themselves are brilliant and thoroughly explained and demonstrated by James before you have your go. Obviously there's a timetable, but you don't feel rushed, you go at your safe pace. By the time the road ride came up at the end, I was feeling really confident in myself and James, it was such good fun, you hardly realise how much you're learning in such a short space of time.
