FINALLY the time of year has come, the clocks have gone back, lighter evenings are here and we’re barrel rolling towards the beautiful spring riding season.

With that in mind we thought we’d share some of the very best motorcycle events and experiences 2023 to whack in your diary. No matter if you’re into sports bikes or old school choppers, you’ll be sure to find something for you.

Flat track racing is one of the most up and coming race series in the UK right now. With no front brakes, the riding style is unlike anything else you will see with riders ‘backing it in’ to corners and powering the bike sideways out of the exits. Most of the events are free to attend as a spectator and they are a great day out for the family.

If you were interested in learning to ride flat track then why not check out the Royal Enfield slide school ran by the UK pro and twins champion Gary Birtwistle.

16th - 18th June - Black Deer Festival

Black Deer celebrates all things Americana, this music festival brings the very best of blues, soul and country music to the beautiful countryside of Kent. Being fans of Americana, you can head over to the ‘Roadhouse’ and expect “custom bike builders, vintage vehicles, exclusive merchandise”. Ok so it’s not exclusively a motorcycle festival but it sure does tick a lot of boxes for us.

Desert Rose Academy

With several dates throughout the year, if you wanted to dip your toe into the world of off road/enduro riding then Desert Rose Academy based on the Sussex/ Kent border is definitely a good choice to start. With various packages available to suit all ability levels and no prior experience needed, you’ll be in safe hands. Our Founder James took a course with Desert Rose 18 months ago and has been obsessed with the world of Enduro since, we recommend giving it a try to find out why!

13th-16th July - Goodwood Festival Of Speed

Sunshine, strawberries and cream, Pimms, oh and of course the roaring sound of classic motors….. It doesn't get more British than that. Goodwood Festival of speed is steeped in history from four wheels to two and just about everything in between. Popular with celebrities such as David Beckham, Caitlyn Jenner & Tinie Tempah as well as racing legends such as Nigel Mansel, Sir Jackie Stewart & Wayne Rayney all in attendance you can be sure to be mixing it with the top of the top.

26th-28th May Bike Shed Show

The Bike Shed Show is a long standing member of this list. Based in Tobacco Docks the festival celebrates everything ‘custom’ in bikes and bike culture. You will see an eclectic mix of just about every two wheeler you can imagine. With a mix of Shed builders and Pro builders, you can really follow the journey of beginner to professional. With the opportunity to meet the builders and talk through their direction and inspiration of their builds you may even bump into a celebrity or two… with the likes of Jason Mamoa and Tom Hardy in attendance last year… you’ll be in good company.
