The break horsepower is so significant by the SRF that it outperforms a large section of the very popular sports bikes category, all powered by petrol engines. The torque outputted by the ZRF is more than most popular sports bike on the planet, such as the Ducati Panigale. The luxury item in the Zero's lineup is a cut above existing electric motorcycles and with the new ZF75-10 motor and a ZF14.4 lithium-ion battery it's clear to see why.
The ZF14.4 lithium-ion battery makes the SR/F capable of a 200 miles maximum range. The battery’s industry-leading power and energy density combined with an aluminium heat-sink housing and thermal transfer interface ensure consistent cell cooling and maximum long-term powertrain performance.
However, the above brilliant performance of the motor and battery on paper is quickly undone when you twist the throttle hard and fast, as the battery will quickly deplete when you do so. Of course, this is the most enjoyable aspect of the SRF with an addictive feeling ensuing once the full capabilities of the motor have been released at any traffic lights or on the open road.
Zero's Rapid Charge System allows the bike to be charged at a number of kW's at any charging station. Charging from 40 miles per hour to 150 miles per hour, low to high voltage. The later (high voltage) can charge the SRF's battery to 95% in 1 hour of charging.
The standout feature that we have to highlight in this review is the customisable dashboard, it stands out like a sore thumb, however, its awesome!! The "Cypher III" is a fully customisable dash that can be communicated with by the next gen smartphone app to allow rider and motorcycle communication anytime and all the time.
Zero state that "the SR/F navigates the road no matter the conditions with Street, Sport, Eco, Rain and up to 10 programmable custom modes. Choose the bike info you want and see it clearly on the full-color 12.5 cm TFT LCD display. Multi-mode navigation enables on-the-fly ride mode switching, cruise-control, heated-grip control and much more."

Overall, The Zero SR/F is a serious step in the right direction from the Californian electric motorcycle company; offering European roadster looks alongside quality components to create a luxury package that really works on the road. The Zero Motorcycles SRF is the world’s first fully “smart” motorcycle.
