The LXR 125 is good-looking motorcycle and it even looks good when sat next to its more expensive counterparts from Japan and Europe. The dual disc-brakes in the front are uncommon in this category and really make it stand out from the other learner bikes. It has a lovely tubular trellis frame that really catches the eye (especially in the black and red paint scheme). It’s only upon closer inspection that you will start to see that some components are a bit cheap, like the fake air inlets that lead nowhere.
Lexmoto obviously decided to splurge when they designed the engine for this bike. The single-cylinder engine is water-cooled with an overhead camshaft and efficient fuel injection. The outcome is a motor that has power available from as little as 3000 rpm - making it very responsive when riding in town. The efficient fuel injection does wonders for this bike’s fuel economy, and it easily gets about 90 mpg. Overall, the performance and styling are the key selling points for this motorbike.
The aftersales support that comes from Lexmoto is also very impressive. 2 years of parts and labour are covered by warranty from the factory, and you also get 12 months of roadside assistance. This level of support proves that Lexmoto are confident in the quality of their product. You can save money on maintenance so that you can spend it on the nice selection of aftermarket parts that are available directly from the manufacturer!
In summary, the Lexmoto LXR 125 is good starter bike for riders that want to look good on two wheels without breaking the bank. Most people would not be able to see the difference between this bike and its rivals that cost twice as much. The LXR 125 is the type of bike we would have loved when we were 17 years old, and it still has appeal now that we’re a bit older!
