What Motorbike Can I Ride in Harrow With a CBT?

Once you pass your CBT training in Harrow and have got your CBT certificate, you will be legally allowed to ride a 50cc or 125cc scooter or motorbike, as long as you are 17 or older. If you are 16 years of age, you will only be allowed to ride a 50cc moped.

What Are the Requirements for Taking a CBT Course?

You need to be 16 or over and have a UK driving, UK provisional or EU licence with a UK counterpart licence number. You will need to bring the physical licence with you to your CBT training, photocopies or images or it will not be accepted.
Speaking and being able to read English is very important as you will need to listen to the instructor and respond to any questions they may ask to make sure you’ve understood everything.
You will need to show you have good insight, so bring glasses/wear contact lenses if you need to. You will be asked to read a registration plate from 20.5 metres away. Having good balance is key so you can handle a motorbike so you will be asked to confirm that you can safely ride an adult-sized push bike.

Other than that just bring with you your national insurance number and suitable clothing, all of which is listed in your confirmation email.

Harrow sits on the outskirts of London which means it’s the perfect location for easy access into central whilst also only a short ride away from scenic countryside riding options in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire or Surrey. Why not ride out to the Chiltern Hills, awarded the title of an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. On your route in or out of Harrow we would recommend stopping at The Rose and Crown in Rickmansworth - a country pub whose landlords encourage bikers to drop by and fuel up before or after rides.
